Guess who we ran into at the shops
Walking in circles like she was lostYou had been with him for years. You couldn't remember a time in your life when he wasn't by your side. Through sickness and health, better or worse, happiness and sadness. That man had protected you, cared for you, was there for you, and now it was like that never existed.
You knew you didn't need him but he had been so consistent in your relationship that you came to rely on him heavily. Five was the one thing in your life that you could count on always being there. Now it was crashing and burning all around you. It was like nothing mattered anymore to anyone.
It was an accident how you found out Five was going go break up with you. You were talking with Diego and he let it slip. You were crushed. You built a life with Five, one you thought was good enough for him because it was more than good enough for you. He told you he was happy and content, satisfied with the way your life had been the last few years. Turns out that was all a lie.
You had no idea what to do, you had never felt a pain like this before in your life. Sure you'd had your heartbroken before but this time it felt different. Something about this time was affecting you more than any other time. Now here you were, spacing out as you watched the city burn from inside of Luther's house.
Didn't you hear? They called it all off
One gasp and then.."Y/N, you know that it's gonna be okay, right?" Luther asked you, standing over you.
"No Luther it's not." You stated matter-of-factly. "My life is officially ruined and I don't know what to do."
"I'm sorry." He replied, putting a hand on your shoulder. "I wish I had an answer for you but I don't."
You hummed. "It's not your fault. I don't have an answer either, so." You shrugged, running a hand through your hair. "Guess it doesn't matter now, right?"
How did it end?
Five had been acting weird the last few days but wouldn't tell you why. He'd been really quiet, not saying much to you at all, and pretended as if you weren't around. You tried your best to talk to him, get his attention in some way, but he kept you at arms length. It didn't make any sense to you.
"Not now Y/N." Five groaned, shaking his head.
"No, we're doing this now. What is going on with you?" You snapped, crossing your arms.
"Nothing."
"Nothing?" You scoffed. "Ignoring me, coming home late, that's nothing?" You shook your head. "If there's someone else-"
"-What? No! God no." Five cut you off, disgust clouding his face.
"Then what is it?" You asked, a defeated look on your face. "I can't keep this up anymore, Five."
Five looked at you, a sad expression clouding his face as he looked around the room. All the siblings were there just watching and waiting for him to say something. He looked defeated, tired even. He couldn't look any of them in the eye and he couldn't look you in the eye.
"It's over, isn't it?" Lila asked breaking the silence.
"What is?" You asked.
"The world." Five replied. "We can't stop it, not this time. Y/N," he looked at you, "I'm sorry."
