TW: mentions of teen pregnancy
you're 18 in this and five is 19When you started dating Five, keeping your secret was easy. You were able to leave your daughter with your mom and Five was never in your apartment anyway. Though, lately it has been growing tougher to keep her from him.
Your daughter, Charlotte, was only 2 years old. You got pregnant at 16 with your first boyfriend and then he dumped you. You finished high school fully online so you didn't have to face the judgment of your classmates. After you had your daughter, you were able to go in person for graduation and never regretted it.
She lit up your whole world. You loved her more than anything in the world. She looked nothing like her father, thankfully she looked just like you. You met Five when you were 17 and he's been wonderful. You had been going together for over a year and it's been the best year of your life.
Today you finally decided to introduce Five to your daughter and you were a nervous wreck. You knew he wasn't the soft type, though with Claire, his sister Allison's little girl, he was pretty good. It was important to not hide it anymore because Charlotte was an important part of you.
You dressed Charlotte up in a pair of overalls and a stripped shirt. You tied a ponytail on top of her head and she looked adorable. You just stayed in comfortable clothing.
You were making Charlotte lunch when there was a knock on the door. You jumped at the noise and went over. You looked through the peep hole and saw Five standing there. You gulped and opened the door.
"Hey." You greeted him.
He smiled, "Hello, my love."
You ushered him inside and shut the door. He put a hand on your cheek and leaned in, giving you a sweet kiss on the lips.
"So, how are things?" You asked, smiling at him.
"Well Klaus only asked me 4 times where I was going and Diego only told me twice to wrap it." He replied, taking off his shoes and hanging up his coat.
You laughed and shook your head, "Come have a seat. I have someone that I want to introduce you to."
He nodded and followed you into the living area. Charlotte was playing with her blocks and looked up, hearing you come in. You smiled at her and Five awkwardly sat on the couch.
"Babysitting?" He asked, looking at her.
"Ah, no. Actually-"
"Mama! Nuggie!"
Five's eyes widened and you jumped up from the couch.
"Oh! Sorry, baby. Mama forgot your nuggets in the kitchen." You left the room and went into the kitchen. You grabbed the nuggets out of the microwave and cut them in half. You grabbed a fork and went back into the living area.
Charlotte was trying to show Five her blocks and Five, feeling shocked, was kindly taking them from her.
"Nuggie!" She cheered as you set her plate on the table.
You sat down on the couch and watched Charlotte slowly eat her nuggets. Five looked at her and then looked at you.
"Listen, I'm sorry for not telling you." You told him, picking at your nails.
He nodded, "I'm not mad, I understand. Most guys run at the sight of children."
"Yeah, guys don't like girls who have kids." You awkwardly replied.
Five didn't say anything after that. You couldn't tell if he was upset you had a kid or just didn't want to make you feel awkward. For the rest of the afternoon the three of you stayed in the apartment.
Five had warmed up to Charlotte rather quickly, much to your surprise. When Charlotte wanted him to play, he sat on the floor and played with her blocks. Hell, while you were in the kitchen trying to get her juice, you could hear her giggles and her little feet running around.
Charlotte seemed to adore him already. When you came back in the living area with her sippy cup, you found him tickling her on the floor. You couldn't help but to watch them from a distance and smile at them interacting.
When dinner time rolled around and you had to cook, Five was in the living room watching Finding Nemo with Charlotte. Never in a million years would you have pictured Five sitting on the couch watching a kid's movie with a child. It felt pretty domestic.
"Five, Charlotte! Dinner!" You called.
Five walked in with Charlotte behind him. He helped her into her highchair and got her situated. Throughout dinner, he was wiping her face and her hands. You watched fondly as they interacted.
"Lottie you are one messy little tyke." Five playfully scolded her.
She giggled at him as he once again wiped her mouth with a napkin.
"Lottie?" You questioned.
Five froze and a small tint of pink went over his cheeks, "O-Oh..Sorry I just-"
"-No, it's okay. I like it." You replied, smiling at him.
He relaxed and when you finished eating, he helped you clean up. You took Charlotte off to get a bath and get ready for bed.
"Ivey!" Charlotte cheered, waddling into the living room.
He smiled fondly at the small girl and crouched down to her level, "Aren't you supposed to be getting ready to sleep?"
You came out of her room and crossed your arms, "Charlotte, you need to go to bed."
Five gently picked her up, "Let me."
"No, Five I can-"
"-Hey," he interrupted you, "I want to." He kissed your forehead gently and went into her nursery.
You watched from the doorway as he grabbed a book and sat in the rocking chair. She curled up in his lap as he read to her. Within 5 minutes she was asleep. He gently laid her in her crib and tucked her in. He even kissed her forehead gently. He admired her for a few minutes before leaving and closing the door behind him.
You were waiting for him in the hallway with a grin on your face.
"You must have the magic touch." You whispered.
He came up to you and wrapped his arms around your waist, "What can I say? I'm a man of many talents."
You giggled and pecked his lips gently, "I'm sorry for not telling you before."
"I wish you would have. She's pretty remarkable."
"You think so?"
He hummed and kissed your forehead.
"Just like you."
