"Regulus talk to me please" Regulus stopped in his tracks staring at James' desperate face.

"Go talk to your girlfriend, since you love her so much" James walked close to Regulus attempting to convince him, that everything between them could be alright, even if he knew it wouldn't.

Even if he told Lily he loved her in front of Regulus' face.

"I thought it would be enough" Regulus' eyes were glossy with held back tears as he tried to hold himself together, "I thought it would be enough because at least I had you... but it's too much James"

"I don't love her, I can't love her because I lo-" Regulus cut him off by walking away, leaving him alone with his thoughts, and what horrible thoughts they were.

"I can't- I can't do it please Sirius, it'll come back" Sirius tried frantically to help his panicking brother, he watched with confusion as he ran into his dorm and fell to his knees with tears in his eyes and hyperventilating.

"Reg you have to talk to me, what will come back" Regulus tried to fight away the black creeping into his head space, tried to fight the voice that kept seeming to get closer.

"It'll come back I can't handle it coming back again" The voice was getting closer, the tone that left Regulus with a bloody fist and a broken mirror.

"He broke me, I told him he had the power to break me and he did it" Regulus' sobs got louder as he attempted to cover his ears, to shut up the voice. "He said he wouldn't break me, he promised"

"I told you he didn't love you, why do you never listen to me"
