Us Girls

I was having a girls day. I am very aware I barely work which is why I'm in my husbands unit and I mainly do the paperwork and research side. I sat in a cafe waiting for my female best friend. "So a little birdy told me your pregnant" I smile getting up "would this little birdy happen to be my best friend and also live in your garage" she laughs "I'm glad you two are talking again Meredith" I hug her "so what's on your mind" she looks over at me "come on we may not be that close and your husband maybe my best friend but your the only female my age I trust. I have also know you for 20 years" she smiles it was true. We were kinda forced into the friendship because of her and Al. She didn't like my husband. But I didn't want her to feel like a third wheel on a double date. "I haven't spent time with him in ages" I shake my head frowning "why you two always went out" "only cause Henry always goes to the club and I don't like the people there so" I shrug "Also his to bust winning you back" she smiles "you always did make me feel better" I laugh walking down the street talking about anything and everything.

I drove to the school after Lexi had called her mother asking her to come get her. But Meredith had to run a few errands. The 15 year old immediately jumps in my car the moment she sees it. "What's going on kiddo want me to go in there and make someone cry I am Henry's wife" she laughs but I can tell she's been crying "it's ok Aunt Lillie" I smile. She's the only one beside Henry and Al that call me Lillie everyone else calls me Penelope, Penny, Pen. "Why don't we go shopping I was going to go with your mother but she had to rush off and then you called" I say glancing over at the girl "I don't feel like it" I sigh "you sure shopping is always the best medicine we can buy whatever you want even some stuff for the baby" I smile "it's on your uncle Henry so" she laughs her face lights up for the first time since she got into the car. "I have been wanting these new pair of shoes but mum and dad" I wave her off "whatever you like it's a gift from your favourite aunt well your uncle but he won't know until later" she smiles "and I did always love our shopping trips where we spent uncle hanks money" I smile gleefully driving straight towards my favourite, it's a shopping district. It's an expensive shopping district I only come here when Henry is paying. I park the car hopping out, with Lexi right behind me. We walk side by side into the shopping district.

We had spent hours shopping. Now we were a district. Our arms looped and we were laughing. "Ladies" Trudy grabs our attention "hey Trudy" I say "aunt Trudy" Lexi greets "now what pleasure do we owe you" "well we spent the day shopping and thought maybe just maybe her parents deserve her back" Lexi laughs at my statement "I imagine your husband paid" "why would you say that" I gasp to her statement before we walk away up the steps I buzz us in. Our laughter catches everyone's attention "they don't have a lot of fun" I said shrugging Lexi nods "what are you doing here" Al asks walking over giving Lexi a hug "well we came to see what's going on" "you ran out of things to do" I shove him playfully rolling my eyes "why does everyone know me so well" I throw my hands up walking towards my husband who's smirking at me. The moment I'm in front of him he wraps his arm around me leading me to his office. "Have fun" I smile nodding "yeah" he wraps his arms around me "yeah we went shopping" he hums nodding his head "and how did this happen" he gestures to Lexi "she called her mum who had to do a few things. She was upset so I took her shopping" I pull his card out "which you were paying for" I hand it back he shakes his head laughing "told her to get whatever she wanted it was a gift" "I'm going to imagine the car is full" "was full we dropped them home not having my new Gucci watch staying in the car" he laughs again wrapping his arms around me kissing me "your lucky I love you" "I'm lucky you have a secret earning system" I whisper in his ear he just smirks "my love likes expensive things what am I to do" I shrug walking out back to Lexi and Al "they are all gift from her favourite Aunt Al" Al looks at me i could everyone's eyes on us "pretty sure uncle Hank paid for it" Lexi said making me gasp, Henry and Al were laughing "pretty sure I did" Lexi walks over hugging him saying thank you which is when Al wraps his arm around me "thank you" "hey you and Meredith were busy she needed someone I'm always here she's a good kid Al you got Lucky" "speaking of kids wheres Justin" "with Connor last I hear I don't know" I shrug making him nod "she got good taste to" "by good you mean expensive" I laugh shrugging "what she get" "the shoes she wanted then I may have encouraged a bit" "I hope not to much" I shrug "it's a gift Al plus she needed a aunt Lillie day" he just hugs me. "So how long until your off" I ask looking around as Hank and Lexi are talking. "Like should we wait or shop for more" "no more shopping" Henry said hearing what I asked I see Erin, Jay and Al laugh "not with your money I have my own card but it's all the more fun with your card. It's like your spoiling me" he shakes his head smiling "so more shopping" "I think I might die if we shop more" "I'm the pregnant one Lexi I can do it you can do it" she nods her head smile as we look between the two waiting for the answer.
