I hold Sophie's hand as she walks. She's two in a week and getting so big. Ellie on the other side of me. "Penny what are you doing here" Sylvie asked coming over I smile hugging "came to see everyone" I shrug "this is Ellie she's staying with us" "I'm Sylvie I work on ambulance 51" Sylvie smiles "let's go meet everyone" she wraps her arms around Ellie dragging her in "and me don't forget me" Sophie yelled running after them causing me to laugh shaking my head. I walk behind them into the room. Sylvie Introducing Ellie as everyone comes over giving me a hug. Sophie in Kelly's arms talking away. "What are you doing here not that we don't mind we love seeing you" Joe began to rambled causing me to laugh "we came to visit I hadn't heard from a lot of you" I point out shrugging sitting down "so you and Voight took her in" Herman asks point to Ellie who's laughing with Sylvie and Stella "yeah have known her for a few years" I shrug "it's a really kind thing your doing" Matt said. I was always hesitant about him. I kept my mouth shut for Kelly and everyone else's sake. He is part of the reason I lost my husband. I had to testify against Henry because of him. I also knew his perception of me will always be tainted because of Henry. "Hey I heard Justin is in hospital is he ok" Otis asked he had the best intentions but I couldn't help that my body tensed and the tears build up in my eyes. I could tell by the look Kelly was giving me he knew, Benny probably told him "Um he um" I begin tears threaten to fall making everyone worried "he was shot is in a coma" i rush out feeling sick. I jump up startling them, I rush out of the room hating the eyes. It was like a thousand eyes were watching me. I lean against the wall breathing. "Here come here" Herman said grabbing my arm leading me down the hall. He lead me into the room where they slept. I slowly sat down on the bed "Sophie and Ellie" I begin to get up in a panic. I had become somewhat of a helicopter parent especially with Sophie and Flynn. I didn't want to suffocate Ellie this early on. "They are fine" Wallace said coming in. "Benny told Kelly who came and told me with Sophie" I nod "they don't know they" Wallace told me "what happened Penny you rushed it out so fast no one could catch it before rushing out" Herman asks tears drip down my face "They found Justin in the back of a car he shot in the head...his in a coma now" Wallace fills him in much like I assume Kelly is filling everyone else in. I didn't know Benny told him everything. Truth be told I don't even know why I called him that night, maybe it as because I knew he would be up. I spent hours talking crying and venting to him about everything as Sophie and Flynn slept beside me. "Pen" Herman said sadly causing me to shake my head. He sighs wrapping his arms around me "how are you doing" "clinging to Flynn and Sophie" "how's Flynn" "broken already lost his mother now his dad is in limbo" I shrug "how's Voight" Wallace asks. I knew they probably didn't care they were just asking to keep me talking, to try calm me. "Said he got the guy his been distant though" I shrug "I don't know we're usual so strong us against the world but everyone reacts different" they nod "who are you talking to if not Voight" Herman asks "Al is Henry's right hand and when he isn't he with Lexi they have a father daughter thing going on" I looking over at them shrugging "Penny you have to look out for you...you have to talk to someone other teenagers and a one year old" I shake my head "no I have to be strong to keep my family together" I get up wiping my eyes walking out of the room without another word. "Ellie Soph we have to go" Sophie was in Stellas arms and Ellie was now talking to Matt and Kelly. Kelly walks over to me as Stella puts Sophie on the floor. "Benny told me I'm here if you need anything" I nod hugging him before taking Sophie's hand walking out to the car with Ellie beside me.

We had dropped Ellie off at the house before picking Flynn up. Lexi was at the house with Flynn before. Lexi had become somewhat close to Ellie, I think it's because of Flynn though. We sat in the hospital room that we all had become aquatinted with. "Tin wake up" Sophie exclaimed hitting his stomach. "We can't hit baby" she nods moving so she can lay against him. "His going to be ok" I say trying to convince myself "of course he is his a Voight him and grandpa always told me how strong we are" I smile relaxing listening to the monitors beeping.

We walk into the house, it was now dark out. "You just missed Al" I shrug "I will have to catch him another time" i smile "I just have to put her to bed" I gesture to the sleeping baby in my arms. "Yeah I'm going up to" Flynn adds rushing up the stairs before me. I lay my baby girl on the change table pulling her clothes off. I change her into her pyjamas making sure her nappy is all good before laying her in her crib. I smile leaning on the crib just watching her sleep. "You've withdrawn from me" I don't take my eyes off the beautiful seeing girl. "I didn't withdraw Henry you did I have been here taking care of this family" I shrug he sighs coming to stand beside me "she's beautiful" "our second beside creation our first is in the hospital" I turn leaving him beside the crib walking into our room beside hers. I take my hair out and begin to get myself ready for bed. I was in the middle of washing my face when he walked in "I am sorry" I glance at him before going back to washing my face. I dry it before giving him my full attention. "I don't regret it you know falling in love with you nor do I care that people always look at me through glass eyes" he sighs knowing exactly what I was talking about "you shut me out the moment we dropped him off at the hospital and you disappeared with Al...I know what you did and I thank you but this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through" I had tears in my eyes threatening to fall "you would think having a brother kill your entire family or loosing a child previously would make me somewhat ok but it doesn't the worst part is I have been through this before and I am barely hanging on...the worst time is the waiting waiting for him to live or die" the tears start to drip down my face "Mouch called Trudy after you left they are worried about you wanted her to check on you if you showed up when I didn't she asked and that's when I realised I had no idea" I sigh walking over wrapping my arms around him "you don't have to you just have to hold me like you always do it makes everything better" he holds me tight for a moment before kissing my head "let's go to bed" I nod allowing him to lead me over to our bed. Laying in his arms my head on his chest. "I love you more than anything the good and the bad" he runs his fingers along my back "I seem to remember you found some of the bad quiet attractive" I sit up looking at him seeing him smirking "don't ruin this we are having a nice moment" he laughs leaning down kissing me "I love you more than anything" I smile snuggling back into his chest content.
