One Once

The backyard was set up, tables chairs banners the works. My baby girl was one I wasn't going to give her anything less than the best. I dress her in a rainbow unicorn outfit. She loves unicorns and llamas. Her favourite toy was the white and rainbow unicorn Flynn gave her.

Everyone was here. The whole of intelligence, the firehouse and med. with the exception of a few who had to work. I smile as Al walks around with his goddaughter in his arms. "We did good" Henry said beside me making me smile and kiss him. When my attention goes back to Sophie I see Adam throwing her up in the air "if he drops her I will kill him" I throw my head back laughing "our sweet girl has everyone smitten" he hums "it's going to be fun when she's a teenager all these cops, firefighters and doctors not wanting her to date all looking out for her" I say smirking "she isn't going to date till she's forty" I wrap my arms around my tense husband "what about your other daughter" he looks confused "can't have two sets of rules" "she's not dating" he said sternly before walking away causing me to laugh.

I stand beside Justin, with my arms around Flynn as we sing happy birthday to Sophie. The girl loved all the attention. Everyone wanted to hold her, make her laugh, see her smile. Just give her the upmost attention, that she deserves on her special day.

"So" Justin sits beside me on the bench off to the side "what's up my love" I give Justin my full attention "Erin wants to talk" I nod "you know I have your back no matter what" he nods "bear" Sophie yells making me laugh "so I guess the nickname I called you stuck" he laughs nodding his head. He jumps up going over scooping his baby sister in his arms and throwing her in the air. It was a beautiful sight. Flynn was talking to Silver the girl he likes that we allowed him to invite. Truthfully I think Lexi has a thing for him but it's to soon for her.

"You my sweet sweet girl are one. That's a whole year" I say tickling the girl in my arms. Her giggles fill the quiet house. Everyone except Justin, Flynn and Erin had left. Those three had decided to stay over. I had changed her into her pyjamas, we were now in my room together. "Mumma" I lay back on the bed just cuddling her. I had barely held her all day, allowing everyone else to get their cuddles in. "This is a sight I like to see" I look up at Henry leaning against the door. He walks in closing the door before coming over laying beside me in our bed. "Dada" Henry takes her allowing her to lay on his chest. "So what's going on with you and Erin" I look confused "nothing" he hums "you forget I know you better than I know myself" he smirks at me "she's just" I sigh questioning if I was really going to tell him. It was his daughter after all. "I don't care just want to know" "she wasn't kind to Flynn" he frowns "what do you mean" "Flynn was just starting to get use to our family" he nods as I lay down fully turning to face him, we both had our heads on our pillows facing each other. "Then the secret came out. Justin of course was struggling because of the crush he had on her growing up so he distanced himself to try and figure it out. Flynn wanted to know her. But she was controlling, demanded they were family and then said they weren't family" he nods "it was messing with his head so naturally he told Justin who told him to do what he wanted...that he would stand behind him" he sighs "Flynn cut her off he had just lost his mother and was trying to move on she was messing with his head...it's been a couple months" he nods rubbing Sophie's back, she had fallen asleep. It was one of my favourite images. Henry so kind and gentle with his daughter, who adored him. "She's trying to use Flynn to get back into Justin's life" "how do you know" "Flynn told me his a smart kid" "our grandson is" he reaches his arm our wrapping it around me and pulling me close. I snuggle into him. "So Sophie is the only not complicate in this family" I hum nodding against him. He was laying on his back. My head on his chest, arm around my waist holding me close. Sophie sleeping on his chest, her head beside mine. "How's Kat and the kids" he asks rubbing my back "Kaci bonded with Lexi and Flynn but she's twelve they are sixteen and fifteen so I think she's a bit young for them" he nods "Nate has become friend with Diego despite the age gap being two years they are a pair" he smile "think cat is struggling but she won't say she starts working this week" I shrug "I heard a rumour that Eva joined the Lexi Flynn duo" I laugh "she did the three get a drink or food sometimes both after school" his hand going up and down my back calms me and helps me relax. "She's in the same grade as Flynn so I think she also hangs out with him at school" "what about his girlfriend" "Silver she's nice" "you met her" I nod against him "yeah she's nice polite rich" he just smirks "get the vibe she's judgemental" he laughs "you met any of these other friends" "Only Cat she's cat" I laugh "she sassy not afraid to break the law" "so like Justin was" I nod as he laughs "I know there also Kaiden, Hunter and Trey but I haven't met them" he nods kissing my head. I yawn "sleep beautiful" he moves the hair out of my face "I love you" he adds kissing my head "love you" I mumble out as my world grows dark.
