Family

The house was full of life again. Lexi, Flynn and Kaci had become quiet the trio. Nathan was just bumbling around doing his own thing. Henry was busy as ever. My baby girl Sophie Grace is now 11 month and more giggly than ever, she also runs like she on a mission where ever she goes.

I pull up getting out of the car. "Hey is this an uncle Hank sponsored trip" Lexi asked getting out of the car looking around "what's a uncle hank sponsored trip" Kaci asks "yeah what does Grandpa have to do with it" Flynn asks then as they all stand in a line in front of the car. "Well our favourite Aunt Lillie here borrows uncle hanks card a couple times and we go shopping most expensive places" Lexi said smiling and laughing "won't grandpa be mad" "he could never be mad at aunt Lillie that man worships her" Lexi shrugs as we all begin walking towards the mall. The two teens were getting to know Kaci, she was joining the group. The group of teenagers who have parents in law enforcement or first responders in general. Chris Herman's son sometimes joins them that's all I know. "So where to first" I look between the three teenagers Flynn and Kaci shrug unsure. Lexi takes the lead.

Our arms were full of all the stuff, by time we were finished. We had dropped them off before Flynn, Lexi and I headed over to the precinct. We walk up the steps, I put the code in opening the gate for the two. Lexi runs over to Al hugging him, Flynn goes to Henry. "What's with the visit" "we went shopping" I shrug Henry smirks as Al laughs. I walk over to Henry hugging him "did Hank fund this little expedition" Al asks Lexi nod smiles innocently. I hand Henry his card back. "Yes yes he did" I tap the card on his chest he just smirks at me. "Flynn here along with Kaci did quiet grasp the idea" I say "oh yeah it was hard" Lexi added "I imagine my niece here got the objective" Henry said he doesn't stop smirking "of course she did we do it at least once a month" I shrug like it's nothing they laugh. "I swear you two will send me broke" Henry laughs wrapping his arm around my shoulders pulling me to him. "I swear if I wasn't hear I wouldn't believe Voight knew how to laugh" Adam said looking around "and there goes the carefree moment" I mumble into Henry feeling both his arms wrap around me as he tenses. I lift my head a moment later to see Henry and Al glaring at Adam who clearly doesn't know what to do. "I have to use the bathroom" Lexi said nervously looking arm. Al nodded letting go of her. I grab my handbag which a Henry handed to me "you really know how to ruin a moment Adam" I said cheerfully before going down the hall "she's screwing with you Adam relax" I hear Erins say "how do you know" "she's married to him they have to get their giggles somehow" Al answered I didn't have to see Henry to know he was scowling. "You right lex" I say knocking on the bathroom door "it just got awkward so quick" I walk in to see her leaning against the sink. "Lexi Lou what happened" I grab her shoulders turning her to face me she collapses against me. Her head leaning against my chest as she sobs. "I couldn't stop it it just happened" she sobbed out. We sat there for a few minutes before she sobered up. "You can't tell anyone aunt Lillie" she gasp grabbing my arm making me look her in the eye. I nod not saying a word. She turns to the mirror "I can't go out there they will know" she has tears dripping from her eyes as she shakes her head. "They can't know" she said shaking her head turning the tap on. "Go downstairs use the backdoor" I tell her sighing "I will tell them" she nods weakly smiling dashing out of the room after wiping her eyes. I rub my face sighing before walking out of the bathroom back to the bullpen. "Hey Lexi and I are going to head off" I announce kissing Henry, I walk over to Al wrapping my arms around him "she's upset" I felt him tense "I don't know why but I will figure it out she went out back" he nods kissing my head "thank you" I smile before walking towards the stairs "Erin was right" I say winking at Adam causing Erin and Jay to laugh. I walk out of the precinct meeting up with Lexi. I instantly wrap my arm around her shoulder. "Do you want to get a drink and just drive around or we could go on a walk...or just go get Sophie and go home" "I could do with some Sophie cuddles" "she does cuddle the beside doesn't she" she hums nodding. I let go of her hopping into the car. Once we are born in the car I drive towards Justin's apartment.

I pull up outside the apartment "want to wait here I will be quick" she nods to my question she hasn't spoken since we got in the car. I get out of the car racing across the street and up the steps. I knock on Justin's door fidgeting not wanting to leave Lexi to long. She hasn't spoken but it doesn't take a genius to figure out she's not ok. "Grandma" Flynn asks confused probably because they were meant to be bringing Sophie home after Henry's shift. "Your dad here" he nods leading me inside "everything ok" "of course kiddo how bout you go into your room" he nods walking off "ok what's up you never send anyone away" that's when I realise Justin watched the whole thing "I'm picking up Soph and postponing dinner maybe tomorrow" he nods confused "ok why you never postpone always got mad at dad for miss it" I sigh "something is up with Lexi and she said Sophie cuddles will help" he nods I could tell he was disappointed "as king as you don't start skipping out like dad" I wrap my arms around him "never" I shake his shoulder causing him to laugh "I'm still mad at him" I shake my head causing him to laugh. I grab Sophie and her back before running down stairs with the promise of making it up to the two. I run across the road putting Sophie in the car before jumping in myself. I immediately drive to my house listening to Sophie's laughs, god she probably thinks I'm crazy.
