(F/N) - friend's name
The alarms blared. Vehicons rushed to the prisoner's room. Blasters went off, followed by screams of terror. You dashed into the room with Soundwave to be greeted by a hard punch in the face. Before you could collect yourself, some sort of steel whacked the back of your helm and knocked you out.
As your vision engulfed into blackness, you watched Soundwave fending off the Autobot prisoner all by himself until backup arrived. You felt relieved, knowing that your therapist friend was safe.
You were sure that you were dead.
You were greeted by a bright light and a pair of friendly blue optics. The optics seem to fly away in excitement before returning with company. A series of beeping follows.
"Thank you, Bumblebee. We will take it from here," a deep voice thanked.
You grunted lightly as you attempted to prop yourself up to a sitting position but was soon stopped by a gentle servo placed on your shoulder.
"Easy, (Y/N). Ratchet does not appreciate his patients moving around without supervision," the same deep voice told you.
You rubbed your optics. You could hear the soft commotion going on between a femme and several mechs.
"Optimus wants to- what?!" the femme nearly yelled.
"That's just Optimus. He doesn't try to restrain anyone if they did no harm," a mech replied.
Beeps followed. You assumed it was Morse Code, yet you couldn't figure out what was being said.
"Bee, it's impossible to convince a bot to change factions. You, out of everyone else here, would understand that," the femme spoke.
"Yeah, remember how you lost your voice box by not telling Megatron what he wanted to know? You're a savage trying to talk him into his senses instead," the mech almost laughed.
Your vision cleared. At your side stood Optimus Prime, but what was he doing in the Nemesi-
Your surroundings were nothing but foreign. It hit you. You were in the base of sworn enemies. Despite that, you felt home for once.
Is it home when your sparkmate is absent?
"This is my home, love, I never dream of leaving it," you sighed as the warlord held you by your waist.
"How do you consider a place as your home?" he asked out of curiosity.
"Wherever you reside, that's where home is," you smiled up at the warlord.
He smiled back.
That smile is missing here. You flinched. This is not your home, not where Megatron could happily live at. You got off the berth in a rush. The machines that were attached to you, and soon you, came crashing to the ground. You collapsed to the ground right beside the berth which was about to fall on you.
Optimus held the berth in place and set it down. He turned to you and offered his servo. You didn't take it, neither did you smack it away. You stood up on your own, careful not to trip on any wires.
You noticed Ratchet attending to one of the machines and groaned in complaint. "I needed that!" he yelled at you.
"Don't mind me breaking a few more," you threatened as you cracked your knuckles. "In fact, I enjoy the sound of breaking machinery, but I prefer breaking sentient beings."
"I dare you to try," the grumpy medic held out his wrench.
"Enough, the both of you," Optimus commanded. Both of you went silent.
After detaching the wires, Optimus invited you to speak with him in a room. You reluctantly agreed, since there is no use of hopelessly fighting your way out.
The conversation started with Optimus asking you about your relationship with Megatron. You didn't answer much. A nod or a helm shake are what you did. When he touched on the topic of factions and the thought of switching, you snapped at him.
"I don't need some Prime to ask me to switch sides. Do you really think that this is going to work? Considering the fact that I have a sparkmate back home, it's impossible to change my mind and turn to your side," you growled.
"It is not my intention to have you switch factions. I had noticed how you fought. You clearly do not feel belong in a battlefield. You must have different opinions about the war compared to your sparkmate, correct?" Optimus asked.
You replied with silence before a slight nod. You grunted to yourself. "Why do you care so much?"
"I care for everyone, even if it is not my duty," he responded.
How... caring? You shook your helm. What if this was a distraction he came up with?
You planted a kiss on the warlord's cheek. "Good luck with finding the relics, you need it," you told him.
He chuckled softly. "I will return in one piece. Do not worry, sweetspark."
You shut the door as you glanced at your journal. Although you meant the "good luck" part, you didn't sincerely mean the "finding the relics" part. Perhaps handing the relics over to the Autobots was a better idea. You sat down at your table with your journal opened.
"Dear (F/N),
Hey, been a while. I'm doubting on the path I chose. I don't doubt the love between me and Megatron, but there's just something that doesn't feel right.
I don't agree on what he is doing. As a lover, I should support him in his ideas. But what if I have a different opinion? What if I don't want to fight anymore? What if I favour peace more than power?
I love Megatron. I would put my life on the line in a sparkbeat. You see, it's difficult to live up to people's expectations. They think I have the same opinion as Megatron. They think I'm a war machine but smaller. They think I enjoy the sight of tortured beings. Well, okay, maybe the last statement about me is true but my point still stands.
If I had brought up this topic, our relationship would sure break. I don't want that, neither does he.
Thanks for tuning in, (F/N)."
"I'd like to leave now, please," you stood up from the chair. "I promise I won't tell anyone your location. Let me go, now."
Optimus nodded. "Very well. You are a keeper of your words. We will send you off via the ground bridge."
And that's what they did. You contacted Soundwave to bring you back to the Nemesis.
You made your way towards Megatron's berthroom. Suddenly, strong arms wrapped around you from behind.
"Hey, love."
