Thanks for requesting!!
"That suits you so much, Medix!" Whirl exclaimed. "I have a flying buddy now!" the femme twirled around the room in excitement.
"I should thank you, Whirl," Medix smiled. "You gave quite helpful suggestions to me, and I really appreciate your help."
"Anytime, Medix! Anything for a friend," the bright femme grinned.
"Just uhh," Medix looked away nervously, "do you mind teaching me how to fly?"
"I don't mind at all! We can start now if you want," Whirl replied.
She's always this optimistic. If she was involved in the war, her light could blind enemies and the war would've been over in a shorter time period. Medix looked at the femme of his dreams who seemed to be dancing over to the Hero Hall where the professors would hold most of their training.
Has she ever felt down before? Medix went over to the femme. She was often seen excited for a new lesson to begin and was always active in class. Even when homework was assigned by the professors, she didn't seem to feel sad over having to spend a lot of time in completing the assignment. In fact, she and Medix would finish it off together shortly after dismissal and would lend a servo to other members of the team who needed help.
"Okay, so the first thing you do is..."
Whirl had never mentioned about her parental units before. Every time when the topic of parental units were brought up, she often isolated herself from the rest and do revision on topics she had already went over a thousand times.
To be exact, a thousand nine hundred twenty-six times. Medix counted the times he would encounter Whirl in her study grind.
As days passed, Medix couldn't help but notice how positive Whirl always was whenever she taught Medix. Her positivity helped made Medix's day just a bit better after Hot Shot or Wedge screwed up his bandage collection.
"Alright, break time!" Whirl announced. Medix transformed to his bot mode right beside a tree. He was about to lean on it when Whirl switched off the simulation, making the poor mech fall on his aft. Whirl laughed and offered to help him up.
"Whirl, just one question," Medix took her servo and stood up. "Why are you almost always this happy?"
"My sire doesn't really believe in feeling down for nothing," Whirl replied. "Wait, what do you mean by 'almost always'?"
"It's just that... I noticed how your mood entirely shifts when a certain topic is brought up by our friends," he glanced at Whirl.
Whirl's optics showed weakness and vulnerability.
"My apologies, I didn't mean to upset you," Medix looked away. "Let's get some sweetcubes from Professor Heatwave."
"No, it's okay," Whirl gave Medix a sad smile. "I miss my carrier, that's all."
"Your carrier?" Medix asked. "What happened?"
"Offlined by a virus Megatron created long ago," Whirl sighed. "My sire told me not to hold a grudge against the Decepticons nor Megatron himself. He wasn't thinking straight when he made that virus."
"I... see," the mech placed a servo on Whirl's shoulder. "I'm sorry for your loss. When did this happen?"
"A while before my application to come here was accepted," Whirl glanced into Medix's worried optics. "Hey, what's with the frown? Losing someone that significant is part of life."
"You seemed to be mourning for something you did," the red-and-white mech glanced into Whirl's optics. Her optics twitched lightly - he was right.
"I had an argument with my carrier a day before she contracted the virus. I wanted her and sire to move to Earth with me so I wouldn't be alone. She refused, and encouraged me to make new friends instead of being stuck in the same comfort zone for years to come," Whirl turned away. "Sorry, I just need a few seconds."
"Do you need me to leave?" Medix asked.
"No, please stay."
Medix heard muffled sobbing. He approached the femme who used to radiate rays of joy. Hesitating, he pulled the femme into a hug.
"Your carrier must've forgave you long ago," Medix began. "Whirl, she must be so proud of who you are today."
"How?..."
"You made friends - close friends."
"I'm not sure if I did..." Whirl hugged the mech tightly.
"You have me."
"..."
"You got me."
