Allow me to have some of my own serotonin~
Dear diary,
I despise him. He's crazy over laws, order, police codes... did I mention loyalty? You might think loyalty is a special quality of one, but not of this douchebag.
Flashbacks often kill my appetite for sleep. During those hours of darkness, I mostly journal or hang out in street races which often set Chase rambling about safety and laws. For crying out loud, he's not my sire. Besides, these wheels ain't for nothing.
When I landed on this rock with Quickshadow months before this small town knew of the existence of Cybertronians, I was immediately assigned to watch the four mechs at work, while offering assistance whenever I can. It was easy parting ways with the skilled spy as she spared no feelings whatsoever for me.
Living as an empty tin can before the Velgrox arrived allowed me to read up on human language. The young little blonde boy, Cody, often spent time patiently teaching me the cultures of humans. His explanation made sense on why he insisted on explaining it multiple times when I couldn't understand. Humans are bizarre creatures and not at all dull. No wonder this batch of Rescue Bots are such a compelling bunch. Well, most of them anyway.
What do I mean "most of them"? You may think: these Rescue Bots are so young, they must be speaking in a way that I don't understand. Excuse me, I ain't that ancient. One of them, yes, one of them is acting as dull as any mathematics class. Who is that?
Chase.
He is like the disciplinary teacher of a school who spots minor mistakes and makes sure to point them out as much as possible. Whenever he tries to lecture me, I'd zone out on purpose until he asks for confirmation if I had heard everything he said.
However, one particular emergency rescue took quite a twist.
As usual we were training in the academy's sim room. The emergency alarm rang in the middle of Heatwave putting out a fire. I was needed in the rescue to assist due to my excellent swimming skills, thanks to lessons by High Tide.
A human who was apparently enjoying his usual snorkelling session with his group of friends felt a pull and started sinking into the water helplessly. Their boat soon followed the man's would-be demise. Thankfully, the man was the winner of the breath-holding competition. (Humans indeed do have quirky challenges.) However, he can only hold his breath for 10 minutes - in which 5 minutes was taken up to contact the team.
All five of us rushed into the ground bridge and was immediately greeted by warm sand. At an instant, I was in my vehicle mode driving at the ocean floor looking for the man and the boat.
By the time I reached the man, he was about to run out of time. I drove up a rock which acted like a ramp as I transformed. I carefully grabbed the human and swam up in record time.
"Yooo I swam up in 20 seconds!" I remember proudly declaring. Suddenly, something tugged on my pedes. I managed to hand the man to Dani who was on a winch attached to Blades before sinking.
Clearly, my swimming skills are in vain in this situation.
I managed to grab on a cliff before the abyss could take me deeper. I was hanging on for dear life. Just then, everything made sense to me: this is the Griffin Rock Triangle that Professor Baranova had (supposedly) covered up. A mild earthquake or... something like that, must have uncovered the crack.
The cliff began to shake violently as if a giant was passing by. Well, literally. High Tide's megabot had arrived to pick me up. As I finally reach the surface, I felt the humiliation rush to my face.
