Lillian pov
As I reached the ornate front door I slowed starlight down, dropping her reins. I climbed off her, carelessly throwing my jacket off and exposing the delicately jewelled dress I had on underneath.
I took a deep breath in, the familiar scent rushing back through my head as I let it out, my chest falling, but it didn't do anything. The spells effects were still staying strong.
I smiled to myself as I ruffled my hair and glanced at Hyde and Irene, "Oh please come on cheer up, look a little excited, this is going to be fun. We get to crash a meeting, and I bet they already know we are here" I winked as I patted starlight's side,
"Go on girl you know where to go" I said kissing her snout as she huffed and walked towards the stables, Hyde's and Irene's horse following suit.
I turned as I placed my hands on my hips and tilted my head, noticing guards watching us wearily from above. "So how do I look?" I said as Hyde turned to his bag and pulled out my crown, that same sad look in his eyes.
"You're not quite complete until you show them exactly who you are, who we are" he said, his jaw clenched harshly as I smiled and gently took the crown out of his hands, his fingertips shaking ever so slightly.
"What's gotten into you? I didn't think you wanted me like this?" I said as he gritted his teeth and looked around,
"This place reminds me of her. Everything reminds me of her, and I'm starting to remember why I left. Not saying I completely agree with your methods, but I know for sure I haven't forgiven them" he said as I nodded and carefully placed the crown ontop of my head,
"Let's go and make an entrance then. I think it's time they met the Queen in the North" I said smirking as we turned and walked towards the door,
I halted as I reached the door and I felt a strange pull inside me, one I had not felt for quite some time. I let out a deep breath as I pushed my hand forward opening the doors and I entered my head held high, Hyde and Irene right behind me.
The halls were quiet as the sound of our footsteps echoed through the corridors and I ignored the memories rising inside me as I pushed forwards, towards the main hall. There was a noticeable lack of guards stationed throughout the halls, something that raised suspicion within me, was he expecting us?
As we reached the closed door to the throne room I finally saw two guards standing in front, their swords drawn, they knew we were coming.
Hyde growled as he stepped past me, holding his arm out protectively as I smiled nodding my head towards the two guards whose blades trembled at the sight of us.
"It's okay Hyde, stand down. We did not come here to make a scene, or to frighten the life out of these poor men" I said calmly as I slowly pushed his arm down, motioning him to step backwards.
I could sense his raw anger piercing the air, this place seemed to have dug up a new Hyde, a dangerous man. The man who hadn't quite accepted that she was gone, but being here now, surrounded by places she used to be, seemed to remind him that she was gone.
"Please do let us pass. Don't you think I deserve a seat, the same as any of them? You used to serve and protect me, did you not? It would be unwise to not allow me entrance to a seat that is rightfully mine" I warned as the guards began to grip their swords tighter, the tremble in their hands growing,
I took another step closer as one of them pointed it at me and I raised my eyebrow, my hands raising in a small surrender. "I am sorry my lady, we cannot let you pass, no matter our opinions and the circumstances. We have our orders and we must follow them, Please" he said, his voice slightly cracking as I sighed, magic flowing over my fingers as my patience began to run out.
