I woke up groaning, my neck and back aching from tossing and turning all night, Damien's words had stuck in my head and I had not woken in a good mood, well at the very least I was exhausted.
I groaned as I walked to the bathroom, perhaps a warm shower would help wash away the growing pain in my body.
I heard the door go as I was in the middle of my shower, and I rolled my eyes.
"Whoever it is, go away or I will burn your eyes out of your skull" I called out as I finished up and exited the shower. Pulling the towel tight against me, I could sense the person hadn't left and I groaned rolling my eyes,
"If that's you Brand I will fucking murder you" I hissed as I pushed the door open storming out,
As I did I said Damien relaxing on the bed, clearly waiting for me to come out.
I placed my hands on my hips as I looked at him, waiting for an explanation. He slowly lifted his gaze as he ran his eyes all over me and smirked, still leaning on the bed.
"Brand has told me what we need to collect, I assume he would be here himself, but you happened to kill a council member yesterday, so he's a little busy right now cleaning up your mess." He said looking at me smirking slightly as I frowned, wondering why he was acting this way,
"Oh and I had a nice little visit from your grandmother last night, a small surprise but now I can see where you get your looks from" he said grinning as I rolled my eyes and turned towards the closet.
"Lucky you, did she tell you anything useful? I doubt it she does love her little mind games" I muttered as I calmly dropped the towel and walked into the closet Damien gulping and quickly turning away as he got a quick glimpse of my naked body,
"Don't get too excited Damien, it's nothing you're ever going to have, just appreciate the view" I called out as I sorted through the clothes finally finding my old assassin gear,
I smiled softly as I ran my fingers over the material, a small lump growing when I found the small knife Bethany had given me on my birthday. I pulled it out of the sheath as I ran my fingers over the blade,
It felt like a million years had passed since then, when in reality it hadn't even been one.
I brushed my hair back as I let out a small grunt throwing the knife to the side and I quickly pulled some underwear on. I walked back out with the outfit in my hand as I threw it on the bed, not even glancing at Damien, who stared at me, shuffling a little on the bed.
He sat silently watching as I moved around the room, his eyes watching my every move. I sat down at the mirror as I sighed and turned around to look at him,
"Do you want something then? Or are you just here to enjoy the view?" I asked dryly as he raised an eyebrow with me,
"Lillian, drop the fucking attitude. I came to let you know that the nice guy act is over, you want to be a bitch that's absolutely fine. I've been around a lot longer and I've dealt with worse than you. So if you think you can out do me, you're wrong. I'm not going to let you think you have all this power over us, because you don't scare me" he said calmly as I smirked,
"How scary. Am I going to finally see the Damien everyone feared not too long ago? The one whose name made people shiver, I mean I think your time here has turned you a little soft and I've always wanted to see what he was like" I laughed as I brushed my hair out and braided it.
Damien watched me, his eyes darkening as I turned back and folded my hair behind my ear.
He slowly rose from the bed as he walked to the door, "There's a lot you don't know about me Lillian. There are things that I've done that would send shivers down your spine. You may think I'm this person who would let you walk all over me, but you're wrong. You fuck with me, and I will make your life a living hell. Because you're not my Lillian anymore, and I won't hesitate to kill you," he said smirking darkly as I turned back around and looked him up and down, the smile fading from my face,
