Chapter Fifty-Five - truth

I sighed contentedly as Damien pulled me closer to him, our bodies intertwined underneath the sheets.

I opened my eyes as I looked up at him, the glow within me almost visible as I revelled in the mate bond, something I never thought would actually happen.

I had never been happier and right here right now with him, there wasn't a single thing I would change.

He opened his eyes slowly as he looked down at me and I quickly looked away embarrassed,

He smirked as he dropped his head back down, sighing loudly, he began to kiss slowly up my neck as I groaned, my toes curling at the effect his touch had on me.

I was glad to see that had not gone away.

As I went to open my mouth there was a loud slam on the door and I immediately jumped to my feet, magic swirling between my fingers,

I turned as I saw Damien with his hands outstretched the shadows curling around his feet angrily,

"Lillian you better get your fucking arse out of there now before we are all dead" I heard Hyde spit through the door as I gasped and turned to look at Damien,

I turned to face the window as I realised the hum of Brand's power around the castle had dropped and we had fucked up, we had slept in far too long.

I looked at the bed as I saw deep red splotches covering the white sheet, the evidence of our love last night.

I winced as I walked towards him, another reminder of our night together.

"Go out the window, I will clear this. Get as far away as possible, go!" I panicked as Damien nodded throwing his clothes on and heading towards the window,

He turned back as he rushed forwards pressing his lips on mine deeply as I sighed melting into his arms,

"Once this is over I am going to have you screaming my name again Lillian, I promise you that" he said his eyes flashing black as I gulped, the tingling sensation returning between my legs,

"Go now!" I gulped pushing him away as he smirked at me before disappearing out the window, turning in a jet-black raven and flying off.

I turned back to the bed as I ran my hand through my hair, fuck.

I grabbed the bedsheets as I quickly ripped them up, facing my palm at the fire it quickly lit up and I threw the sheets in, destroying the evidence of my now non-existent virginity.

I waved my hands new sheets appearing on the bed as I rushed into the bathroom and turned the shower on,

I rinsed my body thoroughly, no matter how unwillingly. I hated that I had to remove his presence on my body, to remove him from me.

His scent began to slowly disappear as I felt my heart cry slightly as I shook my head, there would be time to wrap myself in Damien again, but not right now.

I turned to face the mirror as I got out and I gasped loudly, my fingers brushing up my neck.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck" I muttered as I saw the bright purple bruise enveloping my entire left side, the puncture wounds aggressive against my skin.

I waved my fingers as my power ran over it, however with no help. The bright bruise with two clear puncture holes did not disappear, fucking stupid mating magic.

Fuck you mating laws, I cursed as I pulled on a suit in my wardrobe, I opened the door to see Hyde standing there as I pulled him inside slamming it shut quickly.

His eyes practically fell out of his head as he saw my neck and I saw his eyes shift as he tried to contain himself.

"Are you both fucking insane! I didn't think you would do that, I only let Damien in as a source of comfort, you have doomed us all" he hissed at me as I rushed around the room, "Shut up Hyde, it happened okay. Now I need to cover this up!" I said as I pulled through my dresses, "Help me find something with a high neck" I said as he growled before sorting through the clothes with me,
