"What are you doing here mother? You are very clearly not welcome" I spat at her as she smirked circling me, the black magic flickering around her feet. I kept Damien behind me as I matched her moves, keeping my magic flowing around my hands,
"I'm here to collect what is mine, what I raised you and your sister for, the thing I need most. The erebus. Couldn't you just imagine, me and a dragon, why, it's almost impossible to stop me now, let alone with a fire breathing beast" she laughed as I growled,
"It is not a beast mother; it is a living being. A thing just like you and me, and it cannot be taken by you. Not everything belongs to you, how could you ever possibly think you could take the things made to stop you" I said as she cocked her head,
"So you spoke to her then, my little sister? How was she, still upset? I didn't mean to kill them all, honest. It's just I just wanted one of my own, but such fragile things they ended up being. Not able to survive without their stupid little partners. But this dragon hasn't be claimed yet, not by you or anyone, and I want it" she said as I felt my body begin to hum with anger,
"Get out of here mother, go back to whatever hell hole you climbed out of" I spat as she narrowed her eyes at me,
"You are not getting my power or my dragon, now leave. No one else needs to get hurt" I said as she cackled,
"Oh so benevolent Lillian, please darling don't act so kind. I've seen what you can do, and I'm sure your little werewolf friends have seen it too." She laughed as she saw my face drop and I felt sick at the memories,
"Oh come on sweetie, who do you think lay that spell out for you to find? Whose been whispering to you to conjure these spells? That's dark magic my dear, the kind that loosens the restraints on my captivity. I must thank you for killing that beast too, another puzzle for you to complete, completely unknowing of the consequences." She smirked as I clenched my fists,
"I will never let you out mother, not after what you did to Bethany, to me. I should do to you what Hecate did to you years ago, but I am giving you a chance, now leave. And never return. I will kill you if I must." I said my voice firm as she narrowed her eyes at me,
"You would kill your own mother?" she said her voice going soft, "the woman that raised you?" she said as I scowled,
"You didn't raise me. I raised myself. You sold us lies, left us abandoned and alone. For years, we fought to survive, we became the alphas and found a way to the top. I became the mother you never could to Bethany. I have done things you could have never taught me, and I did it all alone. You are nothing to me, I don't even know who you are" I said as she smirked,
"it's so cute when your eyes light up like that darling, almost a bit chilling" she laughed as dark power began to flow in her hands, "But as I said, I am not leaving without your power and you can't beat me, or my magic" she said as I smiled,
"Can't I? I'm pretty sure Witch laws state that a child will inherit part of the powers of their predecessors, and unfortunately for you, your magic is dark, so you didn't get any of Hecate's gifts. But I did, and I got yours too." I smirked as her smile instantly fell,
I held my hand out as my power grew, weaving gold, black and red together, "Looks like I'm your weakness" I said as I pushed it out at her and she crossed her hands, blocking the blast it as she dug her feet into the ground,
However I pushed forward more as she was pushed backwards, the floor breaking and cracking underneath her feet,
I smirked as I felt my body pulse with magic, and I pushed the other hand out sending her flying against the room as she hit the back wall with a satisfying crack.
