Bigla na lang tumakbo papalapit sa amin iyong military. I swiftly removed the knife from its sheath and prepared myself for—her attack. Yes, it was a girl.

"The hell?" Nag-aalinlangan na si Logan kung ilalabas pa ba niya ang patalim niya. Knowing that it was a girl made him have second thoughts about the matter.

Mabilis akong umiwas nang inatake na kami ng babae. Tuluyan na siyang lumapit at ako lang ang pinupuntirya niya. I bit my lip when our eyes suddenly met.

"Why are you doing this?" galit na tanong ko at sinimulan na rin siyang atakihin. "You were supposed to save and rescue people from this nightmare, not kill them!"

Hindi siya sumagot. She swung the knife again, and now it scraped my skin. Napahawak na lang ako sa braso ko, pinipigilan ang pag-agos ng dugo mula rito.

"I refuse to answer your question," malamig ang boses na sagot niya, kaya napasinghap na lang ako. Her eyes were shooting daggers at me, determined to kill me.

"You sided with those monsters, and now you're one of them," I flatly whispered before changing the position of the knife. I made it face outside my palm, where the pinky was.

Ginawaran ko ng isang malakas na suntok ang babae. I heard her grunt in pain, even with her mask on. Napaatras siya habang nakahawak sa panga niyang napuruhan ng suntok ko.

"Wala akong plano na patayin ka, pero may plano akong saktan ka. That's the least I can do to avenge my companions' trust in you," I explained before showering her with punches and kicks. Logan just watched us, still couldn't bring himself to hurt this lady we were facing.

Ilang beses siyang napadaing nang pinaulanan ko siya ng mga suntok at sipa. I missed the last kick, and she had her chance to grab my foot and twist it. It made me scream in excruciating pain before falling directly to the ground.

"Jamira!" Logan immediately ran towards us. He tried to get close to me, but the lady started to attack her.

Wala na siyang nagawa kundi ang harapin ito. He just dodged her attack. The moment he laid eyes on me for a second, it brought him down to the ground.

"Gago," mura ko sa kaniya. Sinubukan kong bumangon, pero halos hindi ko mainda ang sakit ng paa ko.

Ramdam ko na parang pumilipit ang tuhod ko, pero maayos pa rin naman tingnan ang lagay nito. There were no signs of dislocation, but the pain was just unbearable.

"Argh!" I heard Logan groan. The girl stepped on his hand, making him lose the grip on his pocket knife.

Sinubukan kong gumapang papalapit sa kanila, pero masyado akong mahina. Napahiga na lang si Logan at napahabol sa hininga niya. I was about to tell him to run and call for help when the girl stepped on his stomach.

"No!" malakas na sigaw ko. Napasigaw din si Logan sa matinding sakit na dinulot ng pag-apak ng babae sa sugat niya.

Napapikit na lang ako at napahampas sa lupa. Hearing Logan's scream made my heart throb in pain. The girl was about to step on it again, but I immediately picked up my knife and jumped towards her.

"Shit," mura niya. I didn't have to think twice before piercing the knife in her stomach.

Hinihingal akong napalayo sa kaniya. I rushed toward Logan to help him. He held his stomach and started to whimper as he leaned on the tree. I saw how his gray sweatshirt turned dark red on the part he was holding.

"I'll call for help," I told him in a low, panicking voice. I was about to stand when I suddenly felt a cold metal on my neck.

"Think twice before you move an inch." Narinig ko na lang ang malamig na boses ng babae sa likuran ko.
