Quirk Assessment

Kai POV

Bakugo reels back his arm. Sending it forward an explosion erupts from his hand launching the softball. It soars for several yards before hitting the ground. 

Aizawa: "Seven hundred and five point two meters."

Everyone begins getting excited over tossing the ball.

Boy: "This looks like fun."

Aizawa: "So this looks fun huh? You have three years here to become a hero. You think it's all gonna be games and playtime? Idiots. Today you'll compete in eight physical tests to gauge your potential. Whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled immediately."

This dampens their mood as they now get serious. 

Aizawa: "Like I said, I get to to decide how this class runs. Understand? If that's a problem you can head home now."

Uraraka: "You can't send one of us home. I mean we just got here. Even if it wasn't the first day, that isn't fair."

Aizawa: "Oh and you think natural disasters are? Or power hungry villains hmm? Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities? No. The world is full of unfairness. It's a hero's job to try and combat that unfairness. If you wanna be a pro you're gonna have to push yourself to the brink. For the next three years UA will throw one terrible hardship after another at you. So go beyond, plus ultra style. Show me it's not a mistake you're here. Let the games begin."

We walk to one side of the field to a small running stretch. Me and another student crouch down in a runner's stance.

Robot: "Runners on your mark. Ready?" *gunshot*

I boost my legs and dash the fifty meters. The kid next to me activates something in his legs making him move faster. I boost myself even more and just barely beat him to the finish line.

Robot: "Three point zero three seconds."

Boy: "Great job."

Kai: "You too motor legs."

Iida: "It's Iida."

I hmph and just watch everyone else run. Deku goes against Bakugo and loses. Next we go to the gym to test our grip strength. I look at Deku and see him become sad seeing his score. I lightly squeeze my tester and see a very low score.

Kai: "Looks like you beat me on this test."

I show him my score which shocks him.

Deku: "And that was with your quirk?"

Kai: "Without."

Deku: "Why without?"

Kai: "My quirk kinda gives me an edge over everyone, so might as well give them some hope."

Deku: "Right, forgot."

Next is the long jump, I easily land within top three while Deku lands between the middle and bottom. After a few more tests we come to the last one, the ball throw. Uraraka reels back her arm and throws the ball. However instead of going out it goes straight up.

Aizawa: "Infinity."

The students cheer and congratulate her. Deku then steps up the plate. When he throws it it just lands normally.

Deku: "What just happened?"

Aizawa: "I erased your quirk. The judges for this exam were not rational enough. Someone like you should never be allowed to enroll in this school."

Deku: "What?"

Aizawa: "You have no control over your power. Were you planning on to break your bones again? Counting on someone else to save your useless body?"

Deku: "No. That's not what I was trying to do."

Aizawa: "No matter what your intentions are you would be nothing more than a liability in battle. You have the same reckless passion as another overzealous hero I know. One who saved a thousand people by himself and became a legend. But even with that drive, you're worthless if you can only throw a single punch before breaking down. Sorry Midoriya, but with your power there's no way you can become a hero. I've returned your quirk, take your final throw."

Deku picks up another ball and reels his arm back. When he launches it only his finger glows; the ball explodes away from his away and soars into the distance. 

Aizawa: "Seven hundred and five point three meters."

Deku cries tears of excitement while I smile and make my way to the plate. I pick a ball and throw with a little boost. The ball travels about as far as Deku's ball. Once everyone else had taken their turn we wait in front Aizawa.

Aizawa: "Alright, time to give you your results. I've ranked you from best to worst. You should have a good idea of your standing already."

He presses a button which displays our scores.
