Battle Center

Kai POV

Man: "What's up UA candidates? Thanks for tuning into me, your school dj. Come on and let me hear you!"

There's nothing but silence.

Man: "Keeping it mellow huh? That's fine, I'll skip straight to the main show. Let's talk about how this practical exam is gonna go down okay? Are you ready!?!"

Again nothing but ear piercing silence.

Man: "Like your application says, today you rocking boys and girls will be out there conducting two minute mock battles in super suburban settings. After I drop the mic here, you'll head to your specified battle center, sound good? Okay."

I look at my application to find I'll be in battle center B.

Deku: "Looks like we'll be in the same battle center. That's good."

Man: "Okay okay, let's check out your targets. There are three types of faux villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on their level of difficulty, so better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise your score by shredding these faux villains like a mid song guitar solo. But check it, make sure you're keeping things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA no no you dig?"

Boy: "Excuse me sir, but I have a question."

Man: "Hit me."

Boy: "On the print out, you've listed four types of villains not three. With all respect, if this is an error on official UA material, it is shameful. We're exemplary students, we expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do."

Kai: "Shut up stickler."

Boy: "You'll watch what you say. This is a top tier school."

 Man: "Alright alright. Thanks for calling in with your request. The fourth villain type is worth zero points. That guy's just an obstacle we'll be throwing in your way. There's one in every battle center. Think of it as a hurtle you should try to avoid. It's not that it can't be beaten, but there's kinda no point. I recommend my listeners try to ignore it and focus on the ones topping the charts."

Boy: "I see, thank you."

Man: "That's all I got for you today. You ready to go beyond? Let's hear a plus ultra!!!! Good luck, hope you practiced more than just hitting the books."

I now find myself waiting outside a gate with other center B students. 

Man: "Right, let's start. Get moving. There're no countdowns in real battles. Run run run listeners. You're wasting your time here."

I power my legs and take off ahead of everyone else. As soon as I enter the city I see three three point robots. I jump into the air while turning my quirk to my fists. I slam it onto the first robot's head easily crushing it. The second robot tries to crush me but I roll off the first robot. 

I switch to my foot and kick the robot through a building which collapses on top of it. I face the final robot who whirrs in anger. I crouch down and take off to the robot as a blur. It brings its arm down but I side step causing it to hit the ground.

I break the robot's arm off causing it to wheel backwards. I lift the arm aiming it at the robot. I punch behind its rocket holder launching them. The rockets shoot out and easily blow up the robot. I smile and head further into the battle center.

*meanwhile with teachers* 

Woman: "This year's group looks very promising."

Man: "Sure does but one kinda sticks out."

They look to the screen which is showing Kai punching a two pointer robot's head off.

Woman: "This kid, who is he?"

Man2: *flips page* "File says he's Kai Midoriya, older brother to Izuku Midoriya. His quirk allows him to boost his attributes to superhuman levels. Also says he's an unofficial hero."

Woman: "What's a kid like him doing here?"

Man: "All Might saw potential in him and wanted him to attend. He was reluctant but joined none the less."

Man3: "He's racking up points, I'm thinking this is too easy for him."

Woman: "Then let's put him to the test, use it."

Man: "Are you sure it's wise to use that? He's still just a kid."

Woman: "UA pushes its students to the limit, and that's what we're gonna do."

*back to Kai*

I finish up another robot when the ground begins shaking. I look and see a massive robot breaking out of a building.
