Slime Showdown

Kai POV

I power my quirk to my legs, this allows me to take off towards Deku in a blur. I snatch him away right as the tendril comes down where he was. 

Kai: "You okay?"

Deku: "Yeah, just save Kacchan."

I nod and turn towards the slime monster.

Slime: "No good hero!"

It sends tendrils at me which wraps around my arms pinning them to my sides.

Slime: "You've got power, I'll take it as well as this runt's."

I redirect my quirk to my arms and spread them breaking the slime's hold. I rush at the slime monster and punch its face. However my fist is absorbed into it.

Slime: "Your puny attacks don't affect me."

Kai: "Do you ever shut up?"

I yank my hand free while jumping back to think. He's slime so regular attacks won't work, gotta think outside the box then. What's a slime's weakness? Ice, but don't see any of that around. Fire, that's it. 

I take a deep breath and boost my durability to the max. I then run at the slime who readies an attack. As if sensing my plan a burning chunk of rubble falls in front of me. I hop through it catching my entire body on fire. 

I jump out of the flames and towards the slime. Before he can react I'm absorbed into his body. The fire catches and begins spreading all over the slime. He screams in pain until he releases both me and the kid. 

He shrinks down enough that I can contain him. I slam a trashcan on him. Once the lid's on I bend it inwards so he can't escape. Once he's fully contained I douse the flames around me as the crowd cheers for me.

All Might: "Way to go young hero."

Kai: "You sure did take your sweet time getting here."

All Might: "I was hold up with other business."

I look him over and see small traces of blood on his lip. I just ignore it and hand him the villain. Later that night I walk back to the house when I see Midoriya talking to All Might of all people.

Kai: "Deku?"

They spot me and become shocked.

Deku: "Kai, w-what're you doing?"

Kai: "Walking home dummy. What're you doing talking to All Might?"

All Might: "I was just congratulating young Midoriya on his bravery fighting that slime villain."

Kai: "Glad to see someone recognizes him."

All Might tilts his head.

Kai: "His whole life people have looked down on him because of his lack of a quirk, called him all sorts of names. But he's not once let that stop him. He's always kept his head high hoping that one day he'd get his own quirk."

All Might: "That's very touching. Which is why I've chosen him."

Kai: *on phone* "Yes police?"

All Might: "Not like that!!!! I mean I've chosen him to inherit my quirk."

Kai/Deku: "Say what?"

All Might: "Young Midoriya, you've shown what it takes to be a true hero. Therefore it is you who shall inherit my amazing quirk, one for all."

Right as he finishes he explodes into a scrawny dude with messy hair. 

Kai: "Well there's something you don't see everyday."

All Might: "You're not shocked?"

Kai: "I had a feeling you were hiding something, what with that blood from your lip, despite not appearing to have taken a single hit."

All Might: "Now that that's out, we can get started. Meet me on the beach first thing tomorrow morning. You can come too if you'd like."

I shrug before heading home. The next morning I head out with Deku to the beach. Once we get there we see trash everywhere and no sign of All Might.

Deku: "Where's All Might?"

Kai: "So much for meeting us."

All Might: "I'm here!!!"

He appears outa nowhere somersaulting in front of us. Deku stares at him with stars in his eyes while I just think how that entrance was unnecessary.

Deku: "So what're we doing here?"

All Might: "The road to inheriting my quirk is long and treacherous. If you're to inherit it you'll need to be in tip top shape. So you'll be in charge of cleaning the beach."

Deku: "What!?!"

All Might: "I never said getting my quirk would be easy. Now hurry, the UA exam is in ten months. If you want to have any chance entering you'll need to be prepared for my quirk."

Deku salutes and begins his long road to preparing his body.
