Training Camp

Kai POV

After situating our stuff in our rooms we head to eat dinner. As I indulge myself I look to the side and see Mineta tied to a support beam watching us eat looking anorexic.

Mineta: "Come on guys, just one little nibble."

Kai: "Nope, you lost the contest."

Mineta: "I lost because you guys left me behind!"

Kai: "Then you should've been faster."

I look to his side and see Bakugo straight up eating right in front of Mineta. Mineta spots him begins crying tears of blood. 

Mineta: "This is child abuse!!!!"

Bakugo: *smiles* "Shut up and suffer."

I turn back to my food when I hear Kirishima.

Kirishima: "You guys got any meat?"

Pixie-bob: "Yep. But know that this is only time we'll be doing this for you. So be sure to make it last."

Mineta: "What!?!?!"

I burst into laughter when we head off to the hot spring. I sigh as the water loosens my muscles.

Kai: "I almost don't even wanna leave this place."

Deku: "You said it, I'm gonna miss the hot spring."

I look at Grape Boy to see him scaling the wall with help from his quirk.

Iida: "Mineta, what're you doing!?"

Mineta: "Making the climb to heaven."

I grit my teeth and boost my body. With a single hop I grab Mineta's head and slam it into the ground.

Mineta: "Why must you interfere?"

Kai: "I'm starting to think it was a mistake bringing you here."

Mina: *through wall* "What's going on over there?"

Kai: "Caught a pervert trying to scale the wall."

Uraraka: "We owe you one."

Mineta: "I'll never forget this betrayal."

Kota: "Such disgraceful behavior."

I look and see that Kota kid sitting at the top of the wall. He spots me looking and becomes scared. This causes him to lose his footing and fall. Luckily Deku catches him before he can hit the ground. The next morning we're out bright and early to train.

Aizawa: "Good morning class. Today we begin training camp that will increase your strength. Our goal is to increase your skills exponentially, so that each of you earns a provisional license. This will allow you to face the dangers that continue to fester in the darkness. Proceed carefully. Bakugo, try throwing this for me."

He's tossed the same ball from the quirk assessment test.

Aizawa: "When you first started school, your record was seven hundred and five point two meters. Let's see if you've improved."

Mina: "I get it, it's to measure our progress."

Bakugo reels back his arm and launches the ball with help of an explosion. It leaves and keeps going until we no longer see.

Aizawa: "Seven hundred and nine point six meters."

Bakugo: "Are you kidding me!?!"

Aizawa: "You've had a single semester at UA and due to your various experiences, all of you have definitely improved. But those improvements have mostly been limited to mental prowess and technical skill. With a slight increase in stamina thrown in along the way. As you can see, your quirks themselves have not improved much on a fundamental level. That's why you're now gonna focus on improving your powers. This'll be hard, you'll feel like you're dying. Let's hope you all survive."

We break off into groups with Aizawa waving me over.

Kai: "What is it?"

Aizawa: "Since you've already got a good hold on your quirk you're already ahead of everyone else."

I smile but have it shut down.

Aizawa: "But your body is still your handicap. So we're gonna toughen you up."

He reaches behind him and pulls out four of those bracelets from the final exam.

Aizawa: "You're training is gonna focus on body endurance. Put these on."

I place them on and feel some weight.

Kai: "This training is gonna be easy."

Aizawa smiles while holding a bag. Once I'm done I end up wearing sixteen bracelets on my body. As if someone hates me I feel an itch on my nose. To add to my misery I can barely lift my arm to scratch my itch.

Aizawa: "You're to wear those weights for the remaining time of the training period. And you're to not use your quirk to aid you."

Kai: "This is gonna be harder than I thought."

Aizawa: "Life is never easy, remember that. There'll come a point in time in which we'll have to make a difficult choice. What we choose will show what kind of hero we truly are."

I nod at his words and walk to try to get used to the weights.
