Harry

For a short moment, everything was silent. No sounds were roaming through my ears. No eyes lurking in my direction. Nobody knew who I was. Nobody cared. Some would call it lonely. I called it a relief.

My eyes were closed and nothing but airy thoughts floated among the darkness. The wind passed me and gently tugged my hands. It traced the figure of my palms, the touch sending warmth through my skin. My chest rose and fell as air filled my lungs.

Everything seemed okay. At least at this moment.

I was shaken out of my thoughts when something crashed against my shoulder.

"Better watch where you're going, dude," A broad guy with freckles said. His mouth went half open and his crooked teeth showed.

"But I wasn't even movi-"

He shook his head as he interrupted me, "Look, just because you've decided to host a meditation class in the middle of the street, doesn't mean the world around you stops. Now get moving freak."

He walked past me before I even had the chance to respond.

Great.

I watched as he disappeared through the doors of a large building towering up before me. A big sign hung above the doorway saying: HOGWARTS.

My heart thumped in my ears. Trees behind me started to sing in the wind, and cars drove away from the parking lot.

More people hurried past me, following the grumpy guy through the door. They were all wearing black cloaks, different colored batches pinned to their chest.

I looked down at my clothes. Jeans and sweater. I would have no problem at all getting lost in the crowd, that was for sure.

It took me a while to realize I hadn't moved at all. My feet were solidly planted on the ground, my heart beating faster every passing minute.

I've transferred school five times now, and you would think the nervousness would have started to disappear by now, but the well-known unsteady rhythm was still hammering inside my chest.

I was almost alone on the street now. I stared at the great building before me. Golden bricks were stacked on top of each other, defining the walls and parting into six large towers on the top. Almost like one enormous castle.

A bell sounded from the highest tower, a clear echoing sound, once again reminding me that I hadn't moved at all.

I forced my legs forward and soon I was standing in front of the entryway with my hand on the door handle. I held my breath as I pulled it open and stepped into the imperious castle.

Draco

A small throb went through my arm as Crabbe poked me with his long nail. I turned to the side and saw him looking straight at me with a wide, ugly smile.

"What?" I hissed.

Crabbe giggled. It was an eerie sound that tended to haunt my every move.

"Weasley's really digging deep in his spot at the back, isn't he?"

I turned my head and saw Ronald with his finger so far up in his nostrils that it probably should've been illegal.

It was almost too hard not to chuckle.
