Day 2 of camp

"Okay listen," a tall Hufflepuff said from behind as he came closer.
All of the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs gathered in a closed group around our flags, putting our heads close together.
"We need a strategy," he said.
I looked around as if someone was watching us. Our flag was placed close to a large rock and not far away between the trees, I could spot the glinting clean surface of the water, presumably a lake. The sun had risen further onto the sky, and made the light shining upon us more clear through the entwined branches.
"I know Ravenclaw is probably going to play it safe since they always wanna lie low before they strike. Meaning: They will have a lot of players guarding their flag."
I glanced at Ron, eager to start the game as he came closer.
"The Slytherin's on the other hand are some tricky beasts. If one of them is leading their strategy for the blue team it's a bit harder to figure out. I think they are shifting throughout the game depending on how the game unfolds."
Low muffles of thoughts were being shared as Dean finally said, "Okay, here's what we're going to do: We are 40 students on the Red team. 15 will stay here and guard the flag, 20 will storm their base and try to touch as many as the guards as possible, while the last 5 will try and capture the flag. Got it?"
There was only a second of hesitation before everyone agreed. I turned my head to Hermione and saw a smile spreading on her face.
"So, who is going to do what?" She asked.
Dean and the tall Hufflepuff looked at each other and murmured something, their heads nodding in agreement.
They started pointing out four people and when Dean's finger landed on me as the fifth, I don't think I was able to hide my surprise.
"Wait, what, me?"
I felt very small as every gaze landed on me.
"Yeah, well, we saw you on the Quidditch pitch, and my lord you can run, Potter. I'd say you're our best shot at getting that flag," Dean said.
I blushed and felt my heart starting to beat harder against my chest. They were trusting me. They thought I would be the one to lead them to victory. I don't think many people exactly want that kind of hope weighing on their shoulders. But I smiled at them, closing my fists as the game was about to start.

"Are both teams ready!?" Lupin's voice cut through the woods.
A roar went through the Red team around me, and I could faintly hear the yells of the Blue in the distance.
"3!
2!
1!
GO!" Lupin yelped through the screeching megaphone.
Trees grew taller and wider as I neared them, my feet moving fast beneath me. Beside me, a blonde girl was running. I looked at the red stripes across her cheeks, matching mine. Our eyes met and we broke into wide grins, adrenaline whizzing within us.
The bumbled ground beneath me caused a bit of trouble running fast. The girl had run the other way in hope that we could somehow surround the Blue team and get the best chance of winning. Which meant I was alone now.
