Song= Start a riot, BANNERS
Harry
The great castle of Hogwarts towered up in front of us, the sound of people talking filling the street.
The bus turned to the parking lot, the wheezing sound of air being released, reaching our ears, as it stopped. Everyone hurried out. Ron, Hermione, and I left last.
We strolled up through the main doors, finding our way through the hallways to our Astronomy class. Hermione led us through corridors unfamiliar to me, and suddenly we were standing in front of a spiraling staircase. Without hesitation, we climbed up the stairs, the sound of the school bell ringing behind us.
We reached a big wooden door and we quickly entered, ignoring the gazes of the other students.
The classroom was very small with purple curtains covering the windows. Blue polyester pillows were placed on the floor with small, wooden desks laying in front of them.
I found a spot in the back beside a guy heavily engrossed with his book. The professor had not arrived yet. I started pulling out the books Headmaster Dumbledore had sent to me. Stacks of brown, blue, black, and all sorts of other colored books towered up in front of me.
A noise sounded beside me and when I turned to look, I accidentally pushed all the books down on the cold linoleum floor.
I leaned down to pick them up. Apparently, the guy beside me did too, which resulted in a painful head collision.
"Ouch! Sorry," he said.
I glanced at him, my hand flying to my head. He recognized me and his lips twitched into a smile. His brown hair waved as he ran a hand through it.
"Fate has me believing that we are just simply destined to meet under clumsy circumstances," He grinned and met my staring gaze.
His soft brown eyes melted into mine and embarrassment crept over me.
"I think fate has more than 'circumstances" planned for me. I think it's just the way my life is supposed to be. Clumsy and irrational." I mumbled. I smiled as I realized he had heard it.
Cedric grinned. That was his name, right?
"What are you reading?" I asked, changing the subject.
He glanced at the volume in his hand and smiled. "I haven't checked yet. I like to form visions of how things are going to unfold before my head is affected by the power of the title."
I tilted my head. "Different, but I kind of like it."
He didn't get the chance to answer before the Professor finally entered the classroom. She had her enormous, curly hair tied back with a headband and big round glasses. A loose, grey dress was tied around her body, which made her appear a little hippie-like.
"In this room, you will discover the art of astronomy," the woman burst out.
Everyone looked around at each other in confusion.
"Who am I? I am Professor Sybille Trelawney. Together we shall cast ourselves into the future!" She raised both of her hands, shaking them into the air.
Okay, so this is what Hermione meant. It was... intense.
I looked at Cedric and found him with his gaze already on me.
I suppressed a smile.
I looked up at Professor Trelawney who had turned to the chalkboard. She remained motionless as if she was confused about what the purpose of it was.
And then my gaze moved to something else. The door opened, and in walked a tall light-haired guy.
God, no, I thought.
Does it really matter that much to maintain this whole idiot facade? I mean it's not THAT hard to arrive on time.
I rolled my eyes at him even though I was aware of the fact that he hadn't even seen me.
"Mr. Malfoy, thank you for joining us. Please take a seat," Professor Trelawney said as she noticed his late arrival.
Malfoy threw himself down on one of the chairs at the side and looked unbothered by the many gazes following him.
Make yourself at home, I guess?
He still hadn't bothered to spare anyone in the classroom a look, and I found my attention flickering to Cedric. He shrugged his shoulders as he looked at Malfoy too.
Professor Trelawney started babbling about nonsense and sighs started to spread throughout the class. Multiple from Hermione.
"Now, I'm getting the feeling that none of you are experts on astrology, so we'll start off easy." Professor Trelawney said, leaning against her desk.
"I bet some of you have heard of a Solar Eclipse, but can anyone tell me when it's a Total Solar eclipse?"
The room was completely quiet and I was surprised to find Hermione without a raised hand.
I awkwardly lifted my hand into the air.
"Yes?" Trelawney said.
"Uhm isn't it like when a new moon comes between the Sun and Earth, and covers all of the sun's light?"
"Harry Potter isn't it?" Trelawney asked. Her round glasses fell further down her nose.
I nodded slightly.
"Well, Harry that is corr-"
"Actually to be more precise, a total solar eclipse is when the new Moon is between the Sun and Earth and casts the darkest part of its shadow, the umbra, on Earth. Sometimes it can look entirely dark because everything is wrapped in shadows," a voice interrupted.
I searched the room, to find Malfoy to be the one who had spoken. A complacent smile was placed on his lips.
"Sounds much like your ego," I murmured.
Everyone turned their heads, including Malfoy.
"Excuse me?" He burst out.
Shit.
"Nothing," I said.
I slid further down my chair, the unsteady rhythm of my heart pounding in my chest.
"What did you say?" Draco bit at me.
I looked around the room, biting my lip. "I said, all that about the moon overshadowing the sun sounds awfully a lot like you trying to be better than everyone around here," I said, exaggerating heavily.
Chuckles escaped the classroom. I turned my head to find Malfoy throwing me a death glare. He was probably sending a million pieces of shattered glass in my direction.
He rose from his chair, and for a second I feared he would break something.
"You, bloody son of a-"
"That's enough!" Professor Trelawney cut him off, suddenly deciding to step in after remaining silent.
She pushed her glasses on top of her nose, a confused look crossing her face again.
I gazed at Ron, who sat beside Hermione in the front, his mouth already parted into a wide smirk. I returned it and waited for Professor Trelawney to continue.
Like nothing had happened, she began talking about the phenomena of space.
I didn't really listen, constantly feeling Malfoy's deadly stare weighing down on me from the side. The class slowly drove by, and I let out a relieved breath when the bell rang.
I found Ron and Hermione and we quickly hurried out.
Malfoy was already long gone.
Well, yes. That's my thoughts. Next chapter will be out in two days!!! Stay tuned will you? And please remember to vote, thank you<33
