(CHAPTER NOT EDITED)

(Chapter doesn't need a song)

Harry

A week later, silence still clung between Draco and me. He kept sending me notes in class, though I ignored each and every one of them. If he had something important to say, he could say it himself.

In school, I managed to get through the days, pretending that nothing was bothering me. A lie of course, but everyone seemed to believe it. Sometimes even myself.

But at night, when darkness claimed my room, I couldn't fight them anymore. The thoughts. Like tiny pieces of glass slowly cutting the memory deeper into my skull, I let myself get torn down by him. One single person, creating so much hurt.

Ron and Hermione still hadn't asked about what'd happened, and I was grateful. Talking about it would only make it more real. And I wasn't ready for that.

At lunch, I watched Hermione and Ron approach me with worried looks on their faces. They sat down beside me, none of them saying anything.

Hermione was wearing a grey sweater as always, but today colors were dancing at the tips of her ears in form of a circle. When she noticed me staring at them, she tucked her ear briefly.

"They were a gift," she smiled.

I returned the smile and looked down. The silence continued and a couple of minutes went by before anyone said anything.

"Harry we are worried about you," Hermione said, her eyes fixed on me, watching all my actions.

I bit my lip and looked at her.

"You barely talk to us anymore and you're slowly getting more distant for each day that passes."

I closed my eyes briefly. Letting the edge of my index finger stroke over my thumb.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"It's not your fault, we just wanna let you know you can talk to us."

"I'm fine."

"No, you aren't Harry," Ron finally said, looking up from his pizza slice.

I couldn't get myself to face him.

"Ever since Malfoy said that shitty thing, you've been so distant I can hardly reach you."

"I've already said I didn't want to talk about it," I mumbled.

"And I couldn't care less."

I stopped every motion I was doing. Hermione did too. We both gaped at Ron, seeming completely unaffected.

"You have to let us in, Harry," Hermione said.

"You can't just go around feeling like shit, pretending that you are fine when we know you aren't," Ron followed.

I kept gaping at him.

"I'm sorry," I breathed. "I just, I never- I never thought-" I paused, but they didn't seem to mind. "I hate that he can control me like this. How he can continue to make me feel like shit and has done nothing to make up for it."

I felt the familiar tightness form in my stomach, and my eyes started to burn. I blinked fast and looked away.

"We're so sorry. Harry," Hermione said.

"You know you always have a way of being dragged into trouble," Ron smirked slightly.

"Well, unfortunately, trouble was a blonde dickhead with a proudness bigger than his dignity," Hermione said.

I couldn't help the smile growing on my face.

"Are you coming to the party on Friday?" A voice said behind us.

I looked away from Hermione and met the excited face of Lavener Brown.

"Goyle's big brother is throwing a party. He's in college," she smiled.

"Uhm..." Ron said.

"Sure," Hermione said. Everyone was surprised. "What?" she asked as she noticed the gazes following her.

"Well, you usually say you think that parties are just big make-out parties for people who are too miserable with their lives to do anything else," Ron said with a chuckle.

Hermione laughed. "You know, I say so much, and it wouldn't hurt to go out and have some fun for once."

Lavender looked confused

"So are you coming or?"

"Ron and I are," Hermione said. "I don't know about Harry."

I didn't even register my name being said at first. They all looked at me, and I realized they were all waiting for an answer.

"I don't really know, Hermione. I've been very tired these last couple of days and I think I just need to relax a little."

Hermione and Ron didn't look convinced. "Come on, it'll be fun," Ron said.

"Okay, what about we say that you'll go with us, and if you still rather want to be at home after an hour you can leave," Hermione said.

I breathed. I knew it was probably a very bad idea, but the words had already escaped my mouth."Alright."

"Great. I'll send you the address," Lavender said and walked over to the next table.

Hermione cheered and Ron laughed at her. I, on the other hand, worried I had just agreed to something very stupid.

Draco

Pansy

-U coming to Goyle's brother's party Friday?

I stared at the screen, debating whether to answer.

Me

-I'm not really in the mood.

Pansy

-Come on, don't be such a bore. Is it because of what happened the other day?

This just confirmed, that there wasn't a single soul on Hogwarts that didn't know what'd happened.

I didn't answer before a new message ticked in.

Pansy

-Where's the fun boy I used to know? Have you seen him? Because he's been gone for quite a while now.

All that boy had done was wreck my life, but still, I quickly typed in:

Me

-I'll be there
