"What the hell is your fucking problem!" I yelled into Malfoy's surprised face. "We had a deal. You can't just fucking walk away because you're unpleased with your own damn failure. We. Had. A. Deal!"

My breathing was tight as Malfoy adjusted his feet on the ground. He didn't look at me but just remained cold and careless.

"I guess I lied then," he said firmly.

"You horrible little...!" I raised my voice again. I paused. "You can't just do that!"

"Well, I did. Get over it," he said, trying to push past me. Flames dared to tear me apart from the inside, my throat feeling sore and burning.

"I just don't get it," I then breathed.

He paused for a minute.

"Why do you always feel the need to be like that?"

I was surprised to find him turn around with a wicked smirk playing on his lips.

"And what exactly do you mean by that." He gazed at me, that awful smile threatening to kill me. If it wasn't already.

"Ugh!! That's exactly what I mean. You question everything. You answer when you're not asked. You're never nice to anyone."

My heart made a jump as he took a step closer.

"You want me to be nice?" he cocked his head, making his grey eyes lock onto mine.

"You act like you're better than everyone even though it's clear that you're the most miserable one," I whispered, not removing my gaze. My breath was visible in the cold air as I shivered.

Malfoy quickly straightened his back and looked away. Something crossed his face but I was unable to read it. "I don't see why I have to answer any of your questions."

That was it. The words blurted out before I had a chance to stop them.

"I mean there has to be something so entirely messed up that it has completely twisted you. Let me guess, a father who treats you like shit?"

His eyes darted to me. I continued.

"A mother who is too scared to do a damn thing about it?"

I watched as his jaw tightened his eyes, sending killing blows as I kept going.

"No true friends? I would bet my ass at least one of those was right. But don't get me wrong the list could go on..."

The rage in Malfoy's eyes was unimaginable. He pushed me against the brick wall and an aching pain went up along my spine.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME!" He yelled as his whole body trembled in front of me.

His breath hit me in the face, a sweet and cool scent. But deadly. Heat rose in my body as I felt how close his body was to mine.

"Then tell me why you hate me so much!" I cried back.

Rage radiated through his skin. He forced his hand onto my throat and pressed it just enough for me to let blows of air slip through. I felt his cold rings dig into my skin as he leaned even closer.

"I HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING!" he roared.

I didn't have a chance to speak as he continued.

"Ever since you started here, you've just strolled through the halls as if no insecurities lay beneath your skin. I hate the way you laugh like the world is fine as it is. The way you breathe like you know it isn't your last."

I met his gaze as the last words blurted out.

"I hate you because you make it look easy."

I was speechless.

Malfoy didn't wait for the silence.

"But it doesn't matter because I'll always be who I am. And no one's going to change that," he said as the deadly smirk reappeared on his face.

A shiver went through me as his grip around my throat loosened, the tip of his nails leaving my sore skin.

Then Malfoy's eyes burned into mine. The rage behind them was clearly visible. A burning flame, threatening to destroy me.

Confusion struck me as his head came closer to mine and a smell of mint and lemon filled the air.

I was afraid he was about to kiss me when he lowered his head and laughed mockingly.

"Seems like someone's got a lot of blood rushing to his... broomstick."

No.

I looked down and unfortunately, he was right.

A wavy bump stroked the down part of my pants and both Malfoy and I were staring at it.

"Is that it, Potter? You want to fuck me, is that what this is about?" Malfoy grinned wickedly. My cheeks flushed and I stumbled past him.

Why the hell did this happen NOW? I've never hated him more than now. Never hated myself more.

"Go to hell," I murmured, trying to move away from the dead end.

Malfoy continued mocking. "I should've known all along. I mean, of course, I understand the cause of this... incident. But I have to say, Potter, only you would chase me down. A bit crazy I would say."

I wanted him to stop.

The embarrassment was replaced by something else entirely now. I felt trapped in a burning fog, unable to control my movements. I bolted over to him and this time I was the one pushing him against the wall.

"I swear to god, if you ever tell a soul about this I will personally make you regret the day you were born," I gasped into his ear.

For a moment he seemed genuinely surprised.

He lowered his mouth to my ear and whispered calmly, "I think I better do what you say, or I'm afraid my challenging personality will be too irresistible for you."

He grinned quietly in the dark before he left me alone in the crawling shadows.
