Song=What have I done-Dermot Kennedy

Harry

I found myself smiling as we strolled up the stairs towards the great hall. Thoughts of Malfoy were hidden for now, but that was enough.

I looked around the decorated hallways as me and my friends passed them. Everything looked different. No lockers were spared from silver streamers hanging in close groups. Banners were hanging from the roof and casting blue shine on the floor like you were walking through the ocean beneath a dark night sky. We slowly approached the entryway to the Great Hall, which had been decorated with blue and silver glitter curtains, a royal blue carpet placed on the floor which Hermione elegantly stepped over.

"Are we ready for this, guys?" I asked, teasing.

"Oh Harry you don't have to be so dramatic about everything," Hermione burst out and grabbed both my and Ron by the hand, dragging us into the hall.

Heavy eyes were placed on me as we entered, but I didn't care. My gaze fell to my surroundings, and I couldn't stop the smile from escaping to my lips. I looked around only to see curious gazes and mumbling from people I didn't even know. Apparently, the whole me and Draco thing had been more obvious than I'd thought.

But wouldn't give them the pleasure they were seeking. I put on an even thicker smile than before and just kept walking on.

People stepped aside as we paced past them and I felt Hermione squeeze my hand lightly. Then suddenly people seemed to lose interest and returned to whatever they had been doing as if they finally realized I would not give them the action they'd hoped for. A sigh escaped me. My body loosened up and my heart went slower.

Ron, Hermione, and I settled down at a table in the corner close to Luna and Cedric. In front of them, a little blue book lay, and as promised they were heavily engulfed in studying the gold lines on the sides. Cedric met my gaze and smiled.

I took a moment to admire the Hall. Whoever had stood for the decor had done an amazing job. From the roof blue, curly strips of an unknown fabric were hanging from the roof. When the light hit it shimmered with a slightly silver shine. Classical cylinder bows were placed randomly on the floor with big blue and white balloons sticking out. About twenty-five tables were spread around with decor in matching colors.

"Harry! Are you even listening to what I was telling?" Hermione said in her sharp voice.

"I'm sorry, I lost myself to the decor. It's funny how different a room can look with a little makeover," I grinned.

"As I was trying to say, Harry, the Ravenclaw house won the House Tournament last year so therefore they got to decorate the hall."

"Well, that explains the colors," I said, gazing at the blue light shining on the floor.

"You look lovely Hermione," Cedric said as he approached us. He gave us all a quick hug.

He was wearing black smoking, but his brown hair was still falling to the sides in soft waves as usual.

I couldn't recall ever having heard Hermione talk with Cedric casually, but the way familiar comfort flew between their words implied that they'd known each other for some time.

"Thank you, Cedric, I think you cleaned up rather nice yourself too," She replied with a grin.

"I didn't know they were such close friends?" Ron whispered to me. I shrugged.

"I heard that Ron," Hermione chuckled. "And actually Cedric and I have been hosting a book club for years now, but you just refuse to listen when I try to tell you about it."
