Part 23

"Boss, please calm down..." Haker was trying to soothe me but it was in no vain.

I was pacing around the security room waiting for the CCTV footage to download.

"Don't tell me to fucking calm down! How the fuck could a girl disappear from here in the first place?" I spat back looking angrily at Tomas.

"Tony, we have good security here and you know it. All the guests are inspected before entering and no one can just disappear." Tomas put a hand on my shoulder but I snatched it hovering over him.

"Don't you fucking dare to tell me about your security!" I roared taking his throat in a tight grip. "She was my responsibility and I counted on you! Now she's gone God knows where!" I was about to hit him but felt Emily's hand on my shoulder.

"Tony, please." the warmth in her words made me stop. "You won't help her by beating Tomas up. Let's just wait for the footage and then figure out what to do next." I sighed lowering my head and let Tomas go.

"Done." Haker pushed some buttons on the laptop and I saw Nancy in a beautiful outfit with a soft smile.

Her tiny form was flying around the main club hall talking to girls and laughing. Anyone could see she was feeling happy.

"She is so friendly with the other girls and everybody loves her." Tomas smiled watching the video. "She is just so sincere and caring. Her eyes shine every time she sees birds. It's so funny." his eyes were showing care. "She is a good learner and she makes so much progress with the physiatrist. She started to open up to me a lot lately. It was so funny, she-"

"You like her" Emily's voice interrupted Tomas and we all stared at him with big eyes.

"N-no... Tony, I swear she is just-" he started but Emily interrupted him again.

"Oh my God! You like her so much! You loooove her" she stretched the word "loved" with a funny voice.

Tomas had big eyes and the scare was shown on his face. It was amusing to me how he was afraid of my reaction. I actually felt relieved that my good friend found someone. Nancy was a great girl and she needed someone to protect her. He really was the best choice for her.

I straightened my suit and sighed heavily shaking my head.

There was a dead silence in the room and everybody was looking from me to Tomas.

I stood close to him and looked into his eyes. He was waiting for a punch; I could feel it.

"Tony..." Emily started but in the same second, I stretched my hands and shook hands with Tomas.

"I know you will take care of her friend." I smiled seriously and moved back to the video. "Now, there must be something that can help us" I focused on the video but just saw how Nancy was circling around, and then in a second she took off to the back entrance and disappeared.

"So she just ran away" Haker made his stupid suggestion.

"No, she couldn't... Everything was going so great" I could feel sadness in Tomas's voice. He lowered his eyes and scratched his head.

"We will find her," I assured replaying the tape for the second time. "Something triggered her," I said narrowing my eyes at the moment when Nancy's eyes widened just before she started to move. "There. She saw something or someone and then she took off" I concluded.

"So she ran from somebody?" Haker asked.

"Or she ran on someone's command," Emily said looking closer at the screen.

"Eric Moore," I said through greeted teeth.

"You're staying here!" I pointed my finger at Emily and she just crossed her hands on her chest and pouted at me. "Tomas arrange a car for Emily. She's going home" Tomas nodded his head and I turned on my heels and went downstairs.

I took off from the club like a mad man with Haker on the passenger's seat.

"I hacked into his phone. He's at the hotel 3 blocks away from here" Haker said looking from his laptop on the road.

I stormed into the hotel room breaking the door. I heard music and laughter coming from the bathroom and went straight there. Haker was right behind me.

Entering the bathroom, I saw two naked girls inside a Jacuzzi and the fucker opening a bottle of champagne near it.

"Where is she?" my voice beamed catching everybody's attention.

"Who the fuck are you and how the hell did you enter here?" it was hard for him to pronounce the words he was so hammered. Or on drugs. Who knows that fucker.

I moved abruptly to him and taking him by the throat I lowered my head to his scared eyes.

"Where is she, you fucker?!" I barked at him.

"Who the fuck are you talking about dude? And why are you here?" his pupils were widened and I knew I couldn't get much use.

"Nancy! Where is Nancy?!" I pushed him on the wall.

"Dude I've got so many of them. I'm sorry if one of them is yours" he laughed like a lunatic.

"The girl that worked at your mansion, the one you took to a Gala a couple of weeks ago" I tried to control my anger but that damn fucker was playing on my nerves.

"Oh, that chick that didn't want to put out for me," he said leisurely.

"What do you mean?" I tightened my grip on his neck looking confused a little.

"Some guy came to me two days before Gala and gave me money to take some chick as my +1" he pushed me off of him and went back to opening the champagne. "He came to me on the street and gave me an envelope with money and asked to do hi, a favor. And who am I to pass such an opportunity" he popped the bottle open and drank a big gulp.

"Did you have any information about that man? Name? or phone number?" I barked looking at the mess around me.

"No, dude. Why would I need it? He paid me." he said moving to the drunk girls and spilling champagne on them.

"So the girl named Nancy never worked for you or your father and you never saw her before Gala?' I asked the last question moving closer to the exit.

"No man, sorry. Would you like to join us?" he took off his robe and entered the Jacuzzi.

"No" I scrunched my nose in a disgusting way and went out meeting Haker in the room. "Let's go, we have a shit load of investigation to do," I said sternly.

"So you're telling me she wasn't their maid in the first place?" Emily asked me sipping her whiskey.

After returning home I ordered Haker to dig everything he could on Nancy. I was confused a lot and I hated being in satiations where I don't know shit.

"Yes, the woman just appeared from nowhere. Who knows what was the purpose of her being at the Gala and maybe if I walked past her shit could have happened." I sat on the couch leaning my head.

We were sitting in complete silence when Emily spoke the words that made my blood boil.

"What if she was sent there on purpose and it wasn't an accident that you saved her?" she said nonchalantly.

But I took her words very seriously. Emily didn't know all about my past and about my life. I closed my eyes thinking of how dangerously shitty this situation could be if she was right. But then my phone rang.

"Hold that thought," I said and moved to answer the phone.

Emily saw how my face changed when I heard the man on the other side of the line.

"Hello father," I said closing my eyes.

If he called me that only meant one thing. I can't hide anymore.
