i'm at breakfast i'm ready for school. my car is out the shop now. i had it there for some repairs on the inside. i'm at the counter eating breakfast and my mom is in the kitchen with me. my dad is here today. he's going to work later though. i'm scrolling through my instagram feed when i stumble across jules's new post. she must've posted this last night but i didn't see it.

she's so pretty😍.. part of me wants to go and see her in person but the other part is saying it's too soon. we just started talking like 2 days ago but i'm interested in her already. her smile and her voice is my favorite thing about her🥰.. ew let me stop i sound like a simp and i haven't even met the girl in person. at least i know she's not a catfish.

i peep her looking at my phone and jules's post is on it. i turn my phone off, "nobody" i lie
my mom smirks at me, "jayde it's ok if you have a crush" mom says
i squint my eyes, "crush??" i ask
a smile grew on her face, "last time i found out about a girl you liked you were looking at her page just like you are doing for this girl" she says
i sigh, "she's just a friend though" i say
my mom just stares at me i guess waiting for me to crack, "she's cute if you wanna come out to me and confirm your relationship one day with her i'll support you guys" mom says
she's not gonna leave me alone until i tell so, "this girl just hit me up in my dms two nights ago calling me hot and at first i wasn't gonna respond to her but then i looked at her profile and she's really pretty so i replied back.. and she's so... i don't know she's fun to talk to.. i guess i might have a little crush on her just a tiny one." i say
my mom smiles big, "awww jaydeeeee you're finally gonna date a girl after 2 years" mom says
i smile a little, "did i say i was gonna date her? no i didn't so i don't know where you got that from" i say
