DRACO MALFOY

She wasn't supposed to touch it. She wasn't supposed to touch the necklace. Now she did and she might die and it's my fault. I almost killed someone. An innocent girl. I can't do this.

I got to Theo's dorm and rushed inside. "Theo, I need to talk to you," I said as I shut the door. I turned around and Blaise and Caroline were laying on the floor laughing. Theo got up and rushed over. "Are you ok?" he asked. "Not now, I'll tell you later," I said. He nodded. "What is she doing here?" I asked. I looked at Caroline and her eyes were red and half lidded and she had a drunken smile. "Avada Kedavra" she said as she wiggled her fingers at me. My face dropped. "Is she high? Did you guys get her high?" I exclaimed. "Whoops," she said laughing. "In my defense, she wanted to do it." Blaise said. "She drank some too," Theo added. "I wanted to get blazed with Blaise!" she said laughing. I sighed. "Bloody idiots," I said. I walked over and helped her up. I sat her down on the bed and she fell back giggling. "Do you have a sober up potion?" I asked Theo. He nodded. Caroline looked at me and pushed me away. "No! I'm mad at you! Or you're mad at me. I can't remember, also I don't care." she said. "Line, you're high and drunk. I need to bring you to bed." I said. "No! All you want is me in bed but you- you don't want me out of bed-" she said hiccuping. "Line, come on." I said. "No! You fuck me but you won't be with me! How does that work?" she asked. "Shut your mouth!" I snapped. "I thought you like it wide open?" she taunted. Blaise burst out laughing and Theo snickered. "Enough, both of you." I snapped. Theo handed me the sober up potion and I poured it down her throat. Her eyes cleared and she looked at me. "Let's get you to bed," I said as I picked her up bridal style. Her head rested on my chest as I carried her to bed. I took off her shoes and her belt and pulled the covers up. Then I sat down next to her and she looked at me. "How's that? All ready for bed?" I asked. She nodded as her eyes started to close. "Draco," she said. "What's wrong, love?" I asked. "You don't love me like you used to," she said. I sighed as her eyes closed. "I do love you, I just don't love myself." I whispered. I moved the hair from her face and smiled. Then I pulled off my shirt and shoes and laid next to her. I fell asleep watching her chest rise and fall.

CAROLINE POTTER

When I woke up, my head felt fuzzy and my mouth was dry. I sat up and Draco was asleep next to me. I stood up and drank some water and started to put on my shoes. "Where are you going?" a soft voice said. I turned around and Draco was awake. His hair was messy and he was rubbing his eyes. "I'm leaving. Wouldn't want you to have to be seen with me." I said. He sighed and stood up. "I didn't mean that, Line." he said. I scoffed. "I didn't," he repeated. "Then why did you say it? Why do you keep saying things you don't mean? Why?" I yelled. He stared at me and didn't move. "I can't keep doing this, Draco. You can't keep doing this to me. It's not fair." I said. "I'm sorry," he said quietly. "Are you?" I asked. He nodded. "I love you." he said. "Do you? Or is that another thing you said but don't mean?" I asked. He walked over and pulled me into his arms. He rested his chin on my head and I could feel his heart racing. "I need you. Please don't leave me," he said. I sighed. "I won't. Ok, I won't leave you." I said. He nodded.

1 MONTH LATER
"He's dating that loon?" I exclaimed. Ginny nodded. "Hermione was heartbroken. She tried to hide it but I could tell." she said. I nodded. Ginny, Hermione and I were shopping for our dresses for Slughorn's Christmas Party. Hermione was trying a dress on and Ginny had just told me about Ron and Lavender. "You ought to try and talk some sense into that brother of yours," I said. "As if he would listen to me," she said. I shrugged. "Only a fool would choose Lavender over Hermione," I said. "That's sweet, Caroline. But I don't care what Ronald does with his time or who he snogs," Hermione said as she walked out in the pink dress. "Oh Mione, you look perfect!" I said. "That's the one, I love it!" Ginny added. "Thanks," she said. Ginny and I tried on our dresses and then we paid and left. The next day was Slughorn's Party and I was excited. I was going with Theo as friends and it'll be nice to have fun with him before we leave for break.
