CAROLINE POTTER
"You still have a bit of a security problem, Headmaster," Harry spat. As we filled the room, I stood in between Theo and Max. I gripped my wand and stared at Snape. "How dare you stand where he stood!" Harry yelled, his voice laced with venom. I let go of Theo's hand and started to walk towards my brother. "Tell them how it happened that night! Tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man who trusted you, and killed him! Tell them!" he yelled. I stood next to Harry and he looked at me. "Tell them how you're the reason my sister was a prisoner for months! You helped them escape, you helped them take her!" he spat. I looked at Snape. "Why?" I asked quietly. His face fell. "Do you know what they did to me?" I asked. His face went blank and he drew his wand. McGonagall quickly pushed Harry and I to the side and faced Snape. Harry stood in front of me and we kept our wands drawn. Then the curses began to fly. As Snape deflected one, it hit the Carrows. The hit the ground and he apparated away with a cloud of smoke. "Coward!" McGonagall yelled. The second he was gone, she turned around and light filled the room. I hugged Harry as people cheered. Then I heard it. "Potters," a voice hissed. It filled my head like burning smoke and I fell to the ground. Harry fell next to me. Theo quickly ran to my side and I felt him hold my hand. Then came the screams. Young students fell to the ground screaming. We could hear his voice. All of us. "Give me the Potter twins. You have one hour," he spoke. Then it was over. "What are you waiting for? Someone grab them!" Pansy shouted. Ginny, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George and Neville all circled around us. "Oh, shut up, Pansy!" a voice snapped. "Some of us wish we could hand you over!" another voice said. Then I saw them. Blaise and Enzo pushed through the crowd and I smiled. "Well, are you just going to stand there or do we get a hug?" Blaise asked. I pushed past Fred and George and ran over to them. I hugged Blaise and Enzo and they hugged me. "We were so worried about you. Nobody would tell us anything. We thought you were gone!" Enzo said. Then Theo walked over. "You prat! You knew where she was the whole time!" Blaise said, shoving him back. "I couldn't put you guys in danger," he said. They hugged each other too. "Um, C," I turned around and Harry was waiting. "I know you missed them but-" he started. "I'm sorry, I know. What are we doing here?" I asked. Then Filch ran in, yelling about students out of bed. "They are supposed to be out of bed you blithering idiot," McGonagall snapped. "Oh," he muttered. "As it so happens, your arrival is most opportune. If you could please lead Miss Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin house to the Dungeons," she said. "Wait, Not Blaise and Enzo." I said. She nodded. Then they left. "I assume you two have a reason for being here, what is it you need?" McGonagall asked. "Time. As much as you can get me," he said. She nodded. Then she began to give people assignments. Harry started to leave and Theo, Max and I walked with him. "Harry, what are we doing?" I asked. "I'm going to find Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem. You need to stay with Theo and Max and get somewhere safe," he said. I scoffed. "No way. You don't get to bench me. Either you give me a task to help or I'll go off by myself," I snapped. He sighed. "Really?" he asked. I nodded. "Really." I said. "Fine. Go find Malfoy." he said. I looked at him with confusion. "Wha- what? Why?" I asked. "He is a death eater. He knows things. Things that can help us. Find him and figure out Voldemort's plan," he said. I nodded. He handed me the Marauders Map and left. Theo and Max and I opened it and I began to scan the map. "Here! He's here!" Theo exclaimed. He pointed to the hallways outside the Dungeons. We took off running and headed down there. When we got there, the Slytherin students were running out of the dungeons and yelling. Max pulled me against his body and we stayed against a wall as students bumped into us trying to run away. Then I saw it. The flash of platinum blonde hair. I pulled away from Max and scanned the hall. "Draco!" I yelled. Then the body turned around and I saw him. He wore a black suit, his hair was combed and he was holding his wand. I stared at him and tears filled my eyes. "Line?" he said. I ran over to him and he pulled me into his arms. I kissed him and he held my body as tightly as he could. He ran his fingers through my hair and smiled. "You look- you look so beautiful," he said, his voice catching on the last word. I smiled. "I thought you were dead," I said softly. He shook his head. "No, it's ok. I've got you," he whispered. I kissed him again and our salty tears mixed together. "I love you. I love you so much," I said. He smiled. "I love you too, Line," he whispered. Then Theo walked over and Draco smiled. "Mate," Theo said. Draco hugged him. "Thank you for taking care of my girl. I missed you," he said. Theo nodded. "Malfoy," Max said with a nod. Draco nodded back. "Good to see your alive, Diggory," Draco said. He nodded. I just held Draco. I'll never let go again.
