2 WEEKS LATER...
HARRY POTTER

It took a whole fucking 2 weeks! 2 weeks of writing letters, arguing with people, begging for help, planning with McGonagall, gathering testimonies, and even a visit to the bloody minister! But I finally got them to let me visit Draco at Azkaban. It was the week before his trial and I convinced them that I needed to prepare him for everything. By the time I arrived, I regretted it.

When they led me down to the most isolated part of Azkaban and showed me to his cell, I was nervous. I had his file and a green apple hidden in my pocket. But when I walked in, I nearly threw up. He looked as bad as Caroline when we found her. She was a prisoner for 7 months and they did the same amount of damage in w week. He was curled up on the ground in the corner, covered in grime, and his body was shaking. There were bruises and cuts all over him. He used to have a seekers build, but that was gone. He was skinny and sick looking. His eyes were sunken and bloodshot. "What the hell happened to him? Is this how you treat your prisoners?" I spat. "Hey, don't look at me," he said. He dragged Malfoy up to the table and sat him in the chair. He secured his hands in front of him and stepped back. "He doesn't need to be restrained," I snapped. "I don't make the rules," he replied. Then he left and shut the cell door behind me. I walked over and sat down hesitantly. He just stared at me. His eyes were glazed over and there was a blank look on his face. "Mal- Draco?" I said quietly. He was quiet. "It's Harry- Harry Potter," I said. He nodded. "I know, chosen one." he said. I smiled. "Better than scar head," I said smugly. "Sorry," he said quietly. I shook my head. "It's alright. That's in the past." I said. "I'm sorry for everything-" he started. "Draco, it's fine," I said. "It's not. I was awful. Even before the war really started. I probably never would have even tried to change-" he said. "But you did," I said. "Because of her. Line. She changed me." he said. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. "Listen, I promised her I wouldn't let you go to Azkaban. Your trial is in a week. I've got everyone testifying. Me, Ron, Hermione, Theo, McGonagall, anyone that can help will be there," I said. "My mother?" he said. I paused. "Is she really dead? Things are fuzzy. Time moves weird here and I don't remember if that was real," he said. I sighed. "I'm really sorry," I said quietly. He just nodded as tears fell to his cheeks. "How did it happen?" he asked. "She saved me. She lied to Voldemort to protect me and to protect you. But Bellatrix killed her," I said. "Her body?" I asked. "The Ministry tried to pull some crap with me about protocol but I shut them down. Her body is waiting at the morgue. She'll be buried wherever you decide, when you get out of here." I said. "If I don't-" he started. "You will," I said sharply. "If I don't, bury her on the grounds of the Manor. There's a small graveyard and she'd like to be by the roses," he said. I just nodded. "Where's Theo?" he asked. "He's safe. Along with Blaise and Enzo. They're at my house. They're fine." I said. He just nodded. "Thank you," he said. I just nodded. "I'll see you at your trial," I said. He nodded. Then I handed him the apple and walked out. When I walked by the guard, I grabbed his arm. "If anyone else touches him, they'll be rotting here too!" I spat. Then I left. When I got back to Grimmauld place, I was interrogated. Theo, Blaise and Enzo were talking over each other. I sat down and told them everything. They weren't happy.

MAX DIGGORY

"Max, what if they make him stay there? Or give him the dementors kiss? I have to go and testify!" I yelled. "A dead girl can't testify!" he yelled back. "But I'm not dead!" I screamed. "Until I say so, you are." he snapped. I sat down and buried my face in my hands. He sat down next to me and sighed. "I'm sorry, Caz. I can't imagine how hard this is for you. But the best thing you can do right now, is stay here and get better. You want to be the picture of health when they see you again, right?" he asked. I looked at him. "Promise me you'll go to his trial? And bring the mirror so you can update me?" I asked. He nodded. 'I wouldn't miss it. I am testifying you know," he said. "You are?" I asked. He nodded. "As a character witness," he said. I smiled. "Really? Thank you," I said. He nodded. "Now please go lay back down," he said. I nodded.
