Out of all the presents Clarisse received for her birthday, Chris's was by her favourite. She liked it so much because of what it symbolised. While everyone else had gotten her weapons and armour - which admittedly, was pretty cool - Chris didn't.
Because he didn't expect her to be what she was expected to be.
He didn't expect her to be a warrior all the time.
He didn't expect her to be bad-ass all the time.
He didn't expect her to live up to her siblings' standards all the time.
Chris just expected Clarisse to be herself, which whenever he was around, she was.
Yeah, the Barbie doll Chris gave her was by far the best present she had ever received. And though she'd never admit to anyone except her boyfriend, she did play with them.
