After Percy and Annabeth fell into Tarturus, Grover would often wake up shaking and sweating in the night, with terrible images burned into his brain and an overwhelming feeling of terror.
Without meaning to, he would usually wake Juniper up as well. After the first dream, she never asked what was wrong, or what is was about. He sometimes thought she didn't want to know, because Percy and Annabeth were her friends too. So instead of asking, she would hold him instead stroking his hair until he fell back asleep, whispering soothing words in his ear.
It's going to be okay.
They'll be okay.
I'm here.
I love you.
