When you reached the new hotel, you were asked to wait outside while the boys went in for a meeting. Their manager said that the meeting was going to be private and that they only wanted to speak to the boys which only made you nervous and worried.
You thought they would probably send you home or cancel the boys' concerts. But it wasn't the first time that a fan broke into their rooms. Many other times it happened and they still kept the shows on, only switching hotels.
A few loud voices started being heard from inside but you couldn't make out what they were saying. You knew for sure that the voices shouting were non-other than Jungkook's and Namjoon's.
But they weren't shouting at each other because there was a third voice arguing with them. With a sigh, you turned to see the same girl from before, the one that stared at Jungkook for too long, approach you with a glass of water.
"It seems like another stressful meeting is going on." She said with a soft smile, handing you the cup. "Thank you. And yes, it seems it will go on for a bit longer." You replied, sharing a small giggle with her.
"I'm Kim Eunsae. I'm one of their organizers. I work with their manager most of the time." She said, gesturing you to sit down on a nearby bench. "I heard about your incident, by the way. It was really brave of you to jump in front of Jungkook to protect him and take the shot for him." She added after.
A soft smile grew on your lips as you nodded, the terrifying day flooding your mind once more. You didn't know how you did it, but it was completely automatic. You were at one moment in the crowd and the next moment you were shot and in Jungkook's arms.
"Yeah, I was glad to help him. I can't deny I still get some... dreams of it, more like, nightmares." You said, Eunsae's lips turning into a cute pout as she looked at you sadly. "Really? What type of nightmares are they?" She asked.
"If it's okay for me to ask, of course." She quickly added after, making you smile at her. "Of course." You giggled. "It's just dreams about what if I didn't jump in front of him in time. Or what if the girl shot me in the chest and I had died." You responded.
"And you've never told Jungkook," Eunsae added, looking at you deeply into your eyes. You looked at her in slight surprise, making her giggle. "It's okay. We all know what your relationship status is. And most of the staff are actually supporting you two. We are big fans." She explained.
You shared another small laugh, sipping some of the water with a sigh. "Do you..." You began, your eyebrows furrowing slightly as you remembered the long glance she gave him. "Have you and Jungkook been something? Like, dated?" You asked softly.
Eunsae's eyes instantly widened as her face turned into slightly dislike or disgust. "God, no." She replied, chuckling softly. "I've been working here for a couple of years. I am 28 years old." She explained, her face relaxing as she smiled.
"I have been like a big sister to most of the boys. Including Jungkook." She added. You smiled in slight embarrassment as the girl gave your shoulder a squeeze, giggling cutely. "I'm sure it was because of that glance I gave him that it made you uneasy."
You looked at her with an apologetic look which instantly made her shake her head. "No, it's okay. I just know how much he cares for his hyungs and I wanted to check on him. I can understand what goes through his mind with one simple glance." She said.
The door soon after opened, the boys piling out as you and Eunsae stood up, watching them bid goodbye to their manager and some other workers and staff.
Jungkook's eyes searched around the place until he finally found you, a relieved smile on his lips as he headed to you. "Hey." He said softly, pecking your lips sweetly before his arms embraced you into a needing hug.
"I really needed this." He whispered into your ear. Eunsae gave you a small sad smile before turning to Hoseok and giving him a sweet smile. "What happened? You all seem sad." She asked worriedly, Hoseok giving her a side hug.
"It's nothing. Don't worry." Hoseok said. You did notice the look he gave Jungkook and the small nod after, making your heart tighten in slight worry. "Is everything truly okay?" You whispered so only Jungkook would hear.
He slightly pulled away to look at you, his eyes looking deeply into yours while he obviously hesitated to respond to you. "Yes, everything is alright." He said, a soft smile on his lips.
You stared for a little more before deciding to drop it. You pulled away with a soft nod before turning to the boys. "There was a lot of screaming, I hope nothing too serious happened." You said.
Namjoon hummed softly as he glanced at the boys, "Yeah, we hit a point where most of us weren't agreeing with our manager but we managed to fix the misunderstanding." He explained, chuckling softly with Jungkook.
"Was it about me?"
At the sudden question, you just asked, some choked slightly while others widened their eyes. Namjoon and Jungkook especially widened their eyes, glancing at each other before Jungkook looked at you.
You sighed heavily, shaking your head as you scoffed knowingly. "I knew it. I just knew I would be a problem sooner or later." You said, running a hand through your hair.
Namjoon quickly shook his head as he went to you, "Hey, no. Nobody said anything about you being a problem or anything." He quickly reassured.
You glanced up at him with sad and guilty eyes, your lips in a small pout. "Why would you and Jungkook be shouting at your own staff and manager?" You replied.
"I-I..." Namjoon stuttered, not knowing what to say anymore to try and save the situation. You sighed again, shaking your head before turning on your heel and walking away.
Jungkook was quick to follow after you. "Where are you going?" He asked. "Outside." You replied slightly coldly, your mind too busy thinking about everything.
"It's unsafe and dangerous."
"I'll be fine."
"No, you won't be. Someone might be out there to hurt you."
"Nobody will be outside to hurt me, Jungkook. I'll be fine."
"Y/n! Stop it!"
At the exclaim, you were already outside and you had widened your eyes, looking at Jungkook in shock as he stood there.
His chest heaved up and down in slight nervousness and probably slight rage. "Get inside, please." He said, his eyes soft. "Let's just talk about it inside." He added.
"I don't want to talk about it, Jungkook. There is nothing to talk about either. I've become that burden I was fearing to become since the beginning. I've brought you and everyone else nothing more than problems and rumors and drama and stress and Taehyung nearly got hurt because of me and who knows what they can do to one of you, especially you-"
As you ranted, Jungkook made his way closer to you and placed his hands on your hips, his eyes staring at you sadly as you began sobbing and crying heavily while ranting.
He gently moved his hand to the back of your head, pulling your head into his chest, his own eyes teary as he sighed. "It's not your fault. Nothing is your fault. You have never been and will never be a burden." He whispered into your ear, kissing the top of your head while holding the back of it.
"You're everything but a burden. You're my love and girlfriend. The reason I fight with everyone who doesn't want me with you. Because I love you and you're the reason I want to spend my life with you." He whispered, a soft smile growing on his lips.
"I love you, Y/n."
