Hello and welcome back to the one chapter me and my Co-author, 12112685a have been excited to write. Oh yeah, they're gonna be helping me write stories from now on. Now, let's get on with the chapter.
The Lion Guard and cubs were running through the forest, and they were so close to the Tree of Life. "Phew! Are we really running the entire way to the Tree of Life?" Beshte asked, getting a bit tired. "I.... guess..... we are...." Dali panted as she ran by the Hippo's side. "Yeah. And I'm actually okay with going fast for once." Fuli commented with a smile.
"Yeah! Hey, Kion! Maua! Race you to the Tree of Life!" Bunga shouted to his best friend and little sister. "Oh yeah! What do you say, Kion?" Asked the Hyena girl excitedly. "Sure! Just don't get in my way!" Kion told the two siblings, and the three ran off. Alice rolled her eyes at the three playfully, and looked back at Langara. "I would say it's boys being boys, but Maua joined in. So what do I say instead?" She asked the Snow Leopard cub. "Goofballs being goofballs." Langara suggested with a chuckle. Alice snickered at that as well. "Sounds about right." She commented.
She then looked down at her Twin cubs, and felt that motherly instinct she was developing kicking in again. "Fehda, Snow, I could carry you two if you're feeling tired. You're just cubs, you shouldn't be running this much." She offered them with a worried tone. "We're okay, but thanks, Alice.......... We'll take that ride." Fehda accepted with a smile, and she and her sister ran up close to the Wolf Princess. Alice stopped to let them climb on her back, and when they were safely on, she took off running again.
Giza then ran beside Langara as she watched the Wolf and cubs. "You know, when she's okay and calm, she's actually a really sweet person. It almost makes it unbelievable that she can lose it sometimes." She said to her friend.
"I know..... She really seems to care for those cubs." Langara replied with a nod. "Hey, are you just gonna stand there like ducks, or are we gonna beat the boys and Maua in that race?! Catch me if you can!" Dali shouted and took off. "Now she's asking for it! Get back here, Waterfox!" Giza shouted, running after the Vixen. "Wait for me, Blackwing!" Langara giggled, picking up the pace. Dali was very agile and fast, but Giza had the upper hand. Her eyes glowed white as she used her magic to change the wind's direction. Instead of the wind going against her, it pushed her to go faster, and got her closer to Dali.
"Hey, no fair!" Dali exclaimed with a pout. "Never said we couldn't use magic!" Giza cockily laughed. Langara liked that idea, and let her eyes glow icy blue as she created an ice slide at her feet. She propelled herself forward, and moved past Dali and Giza. "See you later, girls!" She called back to her friends. Pretty soon, Langara had caught up with Kion, Maua and Bunga, playfully growling. "Catch me if you can, slowpokes!" She teased them.
"Maua narrowed her eyes with a smirk, and her eyes glowed green as she made a tree root rise out of place to trip the Snow Leopard cub. "WHOA!!!!" Langara yelped. But what the Hyena girl didn't realize, was that the others tripped over Langara and they all rolled into a pile next to a small pond. "Heh.... oops..." Maua said, smiling sheepishly. "Mauaaaaaaa...." Langara called with a teasing smile.
Kion growled lowly a little bit, but then shook his head. "Maua." He called to the Hyena girl, raising an eyebrow. "S-Sorry, Kion. Had no idea that we'd all trip." Maua apologized. "It's alright, Sis. Hakuna Matata." Bunga dismissed it since it wasn't that big a deal. "And plus, this is a perfect spot for everyone to take a break." Alice said as she made it to the pond with everyone else. Both Dali and Bunga jumped into the pond for a swim, and everyone else took a drink.
"C'mon, darlings. I know you're thirsty." Alice told her Twin cubs, letting them jump off her back. But when everyone got a few sips and peaceful moments, Kion pawed at his scar in annoyance. "Guys, who said anything about a break?" He asked. "Kion, they could probably use a rest." Fuli tried to reason with the Lion Prince. "Yeah, and Fehda and Snow need the rest. They're cubs, Kion. Just like Gara, Giza, Dali, and Maua." Alice added after the Cheetah spoke.
