Welcome back, readers. We're here again with another installment of The Purest Wolf series, by @12112685a, and yours truly! Anyway, I got a new laptop and am too excited to say anything else, so let's get into it!!!!
Another day greeted the creatures of Earth warmly as the sun rose high in the sky. For some, they were out and about trying to find something to occupy their time. The Witches Coven and Lion Guard were hanging out and relaxing in the forest that was near Coven's new hideout.
"It feels good to relax now that we're at the Tree of Life," Beshte said to his friends. "You said it, Beshte." Langara sighed, soaking in the waters of the pond. Off to the side on solid ground, Via purred softly against Maua, who licked her muzzle a couple of times. Bunga was munching happily and loudly on the bugs that were treading on the water. "Ugh... yeah. Nothing's better than listening to Bunga munching on bugs." Fuli groaned in disgust, rolling her eyes. "Aw, come on, Fuli. You know how much he loves bugs." Maua said softly in Bunga's defense. "Still, it's gross." Chuluun agreed with Fuli, shuddering as she watched Bunga. "I'm glad you guys get to relax." came Kion's voice as he, Karmen, and Alice came around the corner, his face masked in mud. "Uh, Kion?" Dali called to him, blinking a few times. "You okay?" She asked as she tilted her head slightly in confusion.
"He's fine." Alice snickered, almost crying from how much she found it funny. "Nirmala told me that the mud would help to heal the scar. And I've been making sure to help Alice with her mood swings, pregnancy and not." Karmen explained to them. "All he needs is flowers behind his ears and he'll fit in right well with the girls." Snickered Giza as she teased the Lion Prince. Alice finally burst out laughing, getting a raised eyebrow from her soon-to-be husband. A mischievous smile then stretched his muzzle. "It's good to see you smile, Ally. Come here." He said to her, leaning forward to try and nuzzle her face. "Not while your face is covered in mud," Alice told him playfully. "Come on, Puppy. I wanna show my soon-to-be wife some love." Kion argued with clear mischief, continuing to lean forward as Alice leaned back. "Go ahead and wash it off. You've kept it on there enough." Karmen told him with a giggle. Kion nodded, but not before finally nuzzling Alice's cheek. "Hey!" She exclaimed with a chuckle, trying to playfully swat at him. He ducked her paw and ran to the water to wash the mud off his face. "So, where did Snow and Fehda run off to?" Langara asked the odd couple.
"Well, they were doing such good things with their magic, like keeping the lair and Tree of Life clean, they earned some free time. They're playing in the snow on the other side of the mountain." Alice explained to the Coven. "But we're having Ullu keep an eye on them," Kion added, making sure they knew the Twins were being watched and safe. "But wait, I thought Ullu was watching you, Alice. Isn't that what Rani wanted? For someone to have a constant eye on you?" Giza asked with a roll of her eyes. "I managed to show Ullu I meant no harm... of course, I did hunt her some mice and showed my utter respect," Alice explained to them. "Yeah, but Rani seems to have convinced someone else to keep an eye on you." Maua pointed out, looking to the Light Fury on a tree branch. Though, she did give them an apologetic look. "Dove? Let me guess-- future queen's orders?" Fuli asked, raising an eyebrow at the obvious question. "Yes. I do apologize for this. I don't mean any ill will." Dove apologized to the odd couple.
"We know," Kion told her as he nodded in understanding. He then looked at his mate and saw her watching Bunga eat bugs. Just as the Honey Badger was going to put another one in his mouth, it was encased in red dark magic and floated over to Alice. She looked it over for a few moments, just inspecting it. Then, much to Fuli, Chuluun, and Winter's surprise, opened up her maw and began chewing on it. "Please tell me those are pregnancy cravings," Winter asked in an almost begging way. "I'm... not entirely sure," Karmen answered in confusion. Alice finished with the bug and hummed in delight. She then walked up to Bunga and spoke up to him. "Mind if I join you, Bunga?" Alice asked him a bit nervously. "More bug lovers are always welcome!" Bunga accepted her offer with a smile. Alice and Bunga then began to crunch on the bugs in front of them, with the Wolf enjoying herself immensely. It could've been the pregnancy, or she could've been curious, but she was currently satisfied eating with Bunga.
