It was another dry day in the Pride Lands, and Janja and his hyenas were trying to take watermelons that the elephants gathered for extra water. "Come on, fur brains. Move it before the Lion Guard shows up!" Janja commanded Cheezi and Chungu. "Right. Move it, melon!" Cheezi shouted as he whacked a melon towards a tree, smashing it in the process. "Janja! This melons got water inside of it!" He exclaimed. Janja rolled his eyes, already knowing this. "They all do, fur brain. That's why we're taking them." He informed them.

"Really?! Good, I'm thirsty." Chungu said. He then tried to bite into the melon, but ended up getting it stuck in his mouth. He tried to shake his head to throw the melon out of his mouth, but with no success. Janja then walked up to him and raised a paw to smack the melon out of his mouth. The melon flew and smashed onto Cheezi's head, spilling the contents as well. "Enough messing around. Let's go!" Janja told the two for the last time. "Stop right there, Janja!" Came the voice of Kion.

The Lion Guard were looking down from the ledge they were perched on. "Those melons are for the elephants." Kion told the hyenas. "Oh, are they? Well don't worry, Kion. We'll bring them right back. After we drink all their water. Come on, fellas!" He called out to Cheezi and Chungu. The three hyenas then moved three melons towards the direction of the Outlands. "We gotta stop them." Kion told the Guard. He and the rest of the Guard then chased after the three hyenas. Janja looked behind him to see the Lion Guard on their tails. "Faster, fellas!" He told the other two.

"You want fast, you got it. Huwezi!" Fuli shouted as she rushed towards Cheezi and took the melon from him and ran back. She then pushed it and it rolled back towards Bunga. "That's one!" He said, grabbing the melon. Alice then flashed over towards Chungu. "Give back that melon, Chungu!" She demanded. "Uh uh. I stole this fair and square." He said as he turned around and ran the other way. He then was stopped by Beshte, by running into him. "There's nothing fair about stealing." He told the hyena. Ono spotted the melon rolling away. "Bunga, we've got a loose one!" He shouted to the Honey Badger.

"Zuka Zama!" Bunga shouted as he caught the melon that was rolling away. "That's two!" He then rolled the one he caught, back to where it belonged. Kion ran at Janja's side, trying to get the melon from him. "Give it up, Janja!" He told the hyena leader. He then shoved Janja away, and smacked the melon back. "Somebody get that last melon!" Kion shouted to the Guard. "I got it!" Shouted Bunga with his paws up in the air. The melon smacked into him and pushed him back, smashing in the process. "I don't got it." He said. He then shook himself off. "Good try, little B!" Beshte praised the Honey Badger. "At least we saved the other ones."

"How did the hyenas even find the elephant's melon patch?!" Bunga asked. Fuli scoffed in indignance. "Luck I'm guessing." She said. "Gotta be. The patch is really well hidden." Kion told all of them. "Indeed. It's even difficult for me to see." Ono added. "We have to keep a close eye on them, in case the hyenas come back." Kion informed the Guard. "We gotta guard fruit?" Bunga asked, confused. "The melons help give the elephants the water they need to get through the dry season, Bunga." Alice informed her Honey Badger friend. "Alice is right. It's common knowledge, really." Ono said.

"It's all part of the Circle of Life. And defending it is our job." Kion told his Guard. Alice smiled at him and nodded her head. "Right, Kion." She said.

~Over at the Volcano in the Outlands~

Janja led Cheezi and Chungu back to the Volcano, after they had just got defeated by the Lion Guard. Janja sighed in irritation. "Another one of my brilliant plans ruined by the Lion Guard." He complained. "Yeah. Those guys are always getting in our way." Cheezi added. As they walked, they didn't notice Ushari was coiled up in front of them. He opened his eyes in time to see them coming. "No!" He exclaimed, and tried to slither away. The three hyena's paws ended up stepping on the snake, and they slipped and tripped. The four rolled and crashed to the ground. "Speaking of getting in our way." Janja said, glaring at Ushari.
