Welcome back, Everybody. Warning: Mega feels for this chapter. Sorry, not sorry.

Three days had passed since that unfortunate event of Red's descent into insanity, and everyone who was there for it are still shaken from it. Alice tends to spend her days alone, trying to find some way of coping with it. Kion tries to console and comfort her but only succeeds in temporarily cheering her up.

This brings us to Snow and Fehda talking to Queen Janna about everything that's been happening, thinking the elderly Queen might have some words of wisdom for them. "And then, she just... disappeared. Mama's so sad now and we don't know what to do!" Snow told the Queen of the Tree of Life. "We're worried that when she goes into the next battle, she'll never come back out," Fehda added after her sister. "Hmm... A rather troubling situation indeed. You know, your grandmother had this very same issue when she came here. Except, instead of madness, her darker self gave in to her thirst for blood and told Rose that she was weak for having a heart for her so-called 'food'." Queen Janna told the cubs. "What did she do?" Fehda asked curiously. "... If I told you that, it would most likely cause your mother's progress to heal decline. All that she goes through, is a test of her character. It's up to her to get through this." The Queen of the Tree of Life informed the cubs.

The cubs sighed... there goes their chance to help their mom. But they knew in some way the queen was right.  "Thanks for that, Queen Janna. Come on, Feh. We probably need to get back to Mama and Papa." Snow told her twin. Fehda nodded her head at her sister, and just as they were about to leave, she saw a painting of a Lioness with rainbow-colored wings. "Hey... I've never seen that painting before," Snow hummed. Queen Janna looked at the painting that the cubs were looking at, and recognized it instantly. "Avarsi..." She said in a low voice. "Who is that, your Majesty?" Snow asked the Queen curiously. "She was a legendary lioness, who was given magical rainbow wings as a reward for saving the land; to which the Tree of Life was grown upon from evil. Legend has it that those who need her can call upon her spirit, but no one knows how. Hopefully, she can come and help us someday." The Queen told them with a smile on her face. "... Yeah, that would be nice. Anyway, we gotta go. Thanks for talking to us, your Majesty." Fehda expressed her gratitude, smiling at the elderly Queen.

And with the queen smiling back, the two cubs walked out of the Tree of Life and back toward their home. Fehda and Snow climbed up the mountain to get to their den and met their younger sister, Scarlet, as she jumped out and barked at her older sisters to surprise them. "AH!!" Both of them shrieked. "Scarlet, you scared us!" Fehda scolded the baby cub. "She's just playing, Feh. Weren't you, Scarlet?" Snow cooed at her baby sister. Scarlet gave them a very wolfish grin that was fangs and wagged her thin tail for an answer. "See?" Snow said back to her twin. "Sure," Fehda said, rolling her eyes playfully. "Mama! Papa! Are you home?" She called out her parents. "In here, girls!" Kion's voice yelled back. All the cubs giggled and raced in the direction of their fathers voice. Kion was play fighting with his sons as they growled and tried to bite at his paws. "Hey Papa!" Snow greeted her adopted father. "Hey, girls! Just give me a second." Kion told his daughters while keeping his eyes on his boys, fangs barred playfully at them. It was enough to thankfully get them to back up.

"How's Mama? Any progress?" Snow asked curiously. Kion did his best not to show that he was upset so that he could answer them. "She's... She's still taking time to herself now and again. I try to bring her spirits up, but it doesn't last." He told his girls. "...we understand. We just need to support her while she figures everything out. Maybe we should gather with the Coven and head on patrol," Fehda said, looking to her twin sister. "Girls... I think you two could use a break. You've been working really hard and I think the Guard and I should be going out on patrol." Kion let Snow and Fehda know what's been on his mind for a while.
