Hello, my dear readers. Welcome to another chapter that 12112685a and I have written for you. You'll be introduced to a few new characters. Most are good, and one of them is.......... not. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy.
A few weeks had passed by, and the Lion Guard and Witches Coven had settled well at the Tree of Life. Langara was currently playing with both Chuluun and Fuli, and it almost felt like she had a family again. Almost.
"You can't catch me!" Langara shouted playfully to her big sister and the cheetah she viewed as another big sister. "You sure about that?" Fuli playfully challenged. "Yeah! What are you gonna do about it,........ slowpoke?!" Langara taunted her Cheetah sister with a smirk. Fuli yawned playfully before dashing over and knocking Langara onto her back, tickling her. "Okay! I give I give I give I give I give!" she squealed in delight, trying to wiggle out of the attack. Fuli laughed as she looked down at Langara with a smug, yet love filled smile. "I ain't the Fastest in the Pride Lands for nothin', Gara." She told the cub, nuzzling the little cub's stomach. "Makes me wonder if you could ever beat Alice in a race." Chuluun smiled sincerely with a giggle. Fuli then looked to Chuluun with a mock annoyed look on her face. "She told you about that, didn't she?" She asked the older Snow Leopard. "Oh, uh... yeah." Chuluun said, feeling somewhat guilty and out of place.
"It's okay, Lulu. It'll get better with time." Langara comforted her big sister. "Yeah, I'm not annoyed by you. I just have words with that Wolf that promised she wouldn't mention that to anyone." Fuli told Chuluun, reassuring her that she wasn't out of place. "Alice and I were talking while we were walking around this river she and Kion had to cross for their healing," Chuluun said. "I never realized how much of an amazing mom and leader she is." She admitted to them. "Yeah. You should've seen her when she was in the Pride Lands. She was a sweetheart before....." Fuli stopped when her mind went back to the Volcano in the Outlands, not having the heart to tell them about it. "...a story for another time." Langara spoke for her. Fuli then shook her head as she snapped out of those thoughts. "Yeah. For another time." She agreed, and got off of the little cub she saw as her little sister. She then played with the snowflake necklace around her neck, still haven't figured out if what she felt for Winter was right or not. "Thinking about her?" Chuluun broke the silence. ".... Yeah....... Is it... wrong to have feelings for her?" Fuli asked Chuluun and Langara, suddenly feeling very small.
"...I used to have them to, before our parents passed." Chuluun admitted to the cheetah. "I lost her because I lost myself. You might have a chance with her." She told Fuli. "You actually used to have feelings for her?" Fuli asked, slightly surprised to hear that. "I did, but... after I hurt her, she probably hates me now." Chuluun said with a trembling voice. "She doesn't hate you. She's just.... really hurt by what you told her. Why did you say that hurting others with her powers was all she could ever do?" Fuli asked Chuluun, suddenly feeling like she needed to know why she said what she did to Winter. "...I thought about what happened to Mom and Dad, and... I lashed out at her when we got too rough." Chuluun explained, showing them a scar on her hind leg. "I... I hate that I said that to her." admitted to them with nothing but regret. Fuli thought about what she said, and felt like now was the time to settle this. She took a deep, calming breath, preparing herself for this. "Winter." She whispered to the necklace she held in her paw. It glowed for a moment, and a sudden flurry of snowflakes swirled in one spot next to the three of them. Once it died down, Winter had appeared, looking around to see where she was. She then spotted Fuli, and her eyes suddenly sparkled. "Speedy? You called?" She spoke in a happy tone with her familiar Slovak accent.
"Winter!" Langara beamed. Winter then looked down to Langara, and smiled as she quickly made her way to the cub. "Miláčik?! It has been long since we last saw each other. I missed you." She said as she nuzzled the cub. "Me too!" Langara giggled as she nuzzled back. That's when Winter looked up and saw Chuluun, who became nervous. "H-Hey. It's... been a long time." She tried to say, mentally slapping herself. "Not long enough, Chuluun." Winter said to Chuluun in a cold tone to hide the pain she felt at seeing her old friend. She then used her paw to bring Langara closer to her, keeping it in front of the cub's body protectively, knowing what Chuluun did to her little sister. Chuluun couldn't find the words to speak, so... she bowed... catching Winter off-guard. "I want to atone for my mistakes," she said in complete honesty. "Langara convinced me to change. That my parents' death was an accident... and not because of me. Please... I just want to have you as a friend again. If you... if you can find it in you to forgive, fine. If not... fine. I just wanted to hear it from you." Chuluun told Winter, looking up at her. Winter was actually surprised by what she said, and put the paw down that was holding Langara. "...... I can't ever forget what you said, Chuluun...." She told Chuluun after a moment of silence. Chuluun looked down in shame as she knew that she wouldn't be forgiven.
