It hasn't been too long since Alice joined the Lion Guard, and she was already loving it. She loved that she was helping other animals and keeping them safe. That wasn't the only good thing about it. She loved getting to know the rest of the guard as well. Ono was someone Alice could sometimes relate to. She sometimes tends to know a lot about things, and let everyone know she does as well. But she still liked to talk to him. There was a lot of knowledge the two shared with one another. Beshti was the very definition of 'gentle giant.' Alice could never see herself disliking him. He was an absolute softie. Though she also knew he wasn't a pushover either. When his friends were in trouble, he was there to help them. Bunga was someone she absolutely loved to hangout with. He was a risk taker. Alice did like to play it safe, but even she needed to have some fun now and again. Sure he wasn't the sharpest, but she didn't care. He was always able to make her laugh. Fuli was Alice's speed rival. She had once challenged Fuli to a race, and it ended in a draw. Alice couldn't believe that someone could keep up with her. But when she thought about it, she realized that she wasn't at her fastest speed just yet. She is still a kid after all. When they're not rivals, they're always hanging out or hunting with each other. Fuli felt that when she couldn't talk to the boys, she had Alice to talk to her.

And ever since she joined the guard, the Pride Lands have been a little safer. There have been a few troubles. Like the crocodile, Makuu, who took control over the croc pod, and caused disorder in the Pride Lands. But the guard was able to handle that problem. Then there was that time when Rafiki told Bunga about his wise decision. Alice will never forget that day. She remembers dying of laughter every time she heard about Bunga giving out advice to the other animals. Other than that, it's been pretty peaceful in the Pride Lands so far.

Which brings us to this scene of Kion and Kiara glaring at each other, and Alice trying to calm them both down. "Back off!" Kion growled at Kiara. "You back off, Kion! That's my tree!" Kiara growled back. "Your tree?!" Kion shouted. "I found it first. So step aside!" Kiara demanded. "Kion, Kiara you both need to calm down. We could always share-" Alice said trying to defuse the situation. Trying, being the keyword here. "Stay out of this! This doesn't concern you!" Kiara said, glaring at the wolf. "Don't talk to her that way! You don't tell her what to do!" Kion snarled at Kiara, defending Alice. Ever since Alice was made a member of the Lion Guard, Kion has been a little defensive when it came to her. Whenever she was in trouble, Kion was right there to help her out. Whenever she was in any danger, Kion would be there to keep her safe. Alice did the same for him, except double. She tended to go a little far sometimes, but never actually anything that would truly cause harm. He couldn't explain why she would want to keep him out of trouble sometimes. Just like he didn't know why he would be so protective of her. Kind of like now, when Kiara shouted at Alice. He didn't like how his sister talked to his friend like that. At all.

The siblings continued to glare at each other, until another voice was heard. "Uh actually, she can. Sorry, Alice. For the next few days, Kiara will be Queen." Simba said, walking over to the three. "Me?!" Kiara said, shocked. "Her?! Queen?! Dad, what's going on?" Kion asked, not liking this one bit. 'Uh oh. I can already see this is not gonna go well for the next few days. At least for Kion.' Alice thought to herself. Simba continued, "Kiara will be acting Queen while your Mom, Rose, Daniel and I are away in Kilio Valley. You're Mom wanted her and your Dad to come with me, Alice." "Kilio Valley? You're visiting the elephants?" Kiara asked her father. "Yes. We have a funeral to attend. My friend Aminifu passed away." Simba said with sadness written on his face.

"I remember him." Kiara stated. "He was a wise elephant." Kion added with a sad expression. "Oh, Simba. I'm so sorry." Alice said, placing her paw on his right foreleg in comfort. "Yes. He helped the Pride Lands return to normal after scar was defeated. Once the elephants returned, all the other animals followed. And the the Circle of Life came back into balance. And now Aminifu has completed his part of the Circle of Life." Simba said while looking at a trail of leaves blow into the sky.
