It was the day after the Savannah Summit. After the day that Alice and Kion confessed to one another. After the night Alice turned Kion into a half-vampire. The Pride Lands seemed be as lively as the Lion and the Wolf felt. They were currently walking through the Pride Lands that morning. They were just walking and enjoying being together.
"So, how do you feel, Kion?" Alice asked her mate. Kion looked at her with a smile. "I've never felt so alive. Is this what you feel like all the time?" He asked her. "I've never really noticed. I've been like this my entire life. So to me it's just normal." She answered him with a shrug. Kion then flashed to the tree, then back to Alice. He then jumped up high into the air, enjoying the feeling he got from it. He dropped back down onto the ground without a scratch. "This is amazing! I feel so free!" Kion shouted. Alice giggled at his antics. He was acting like a newborn pup (or cub in his case).
"Your getting excited about being a vampire Lion." She chuckled. Kion looked at her and walked up to be in front of her, their eyes meeting. "Is that a bad thing?" He asked, looking into her blood red eyes. Alice looked into his own blood red eyes and leaned in a little bit. "Not at all. Your my vampire Lion after all." She said in a whisper. Kion leaned in as well. A hungry look in his eyes. "And you're my vampire Wolf." He said, with the same whispering tone. They both leaned in as they captured each other's lips in a passionate kiss.
This kiss was different than their first. This one had more hunger to it. They both tried to one-up the other, their instincts starting to kick in. Kion, as a male, felt it in his instincts to be the dominant one. He wasn't really thinking he was, it was just an instinct thing. For Alice, it was her werewolf instincts taking over. She felt the need to not go down without a fight. They both continued their act of passion for a few seconds before Kion broke the kiss to calm down. He knew that if he didn't stop, then it would've escalated into something more. And he didn't want to push Alice into anything that she wasn't ready for.
Alice could sense what was going on within her mate's heart, and she couldn't help but to feel proud of him. "Kion, how did you do that?" She asked him in awe. He looked up at her with a confused expression. "Do what?" He asked her. "Fight your instincts. You're new to being a vampire. Certain things were enhanced when you were turned. One of which was your instincts. But, you fought them down like you didn't feel them at all. That's impressive." She explained to him.
Kion thought about what she said, and took it in. "Well, I didn't want to force you into anything. If we do that, it'll be when you're ready." He promised. Alice's heart melted at her mate's words. She smiled and gave Kion a little lick to the cheek. "Thank you, love." She thanked him. Kion licked her cheek in return. Alice hummed in content, loving being in her mate's company.
Alice then thought about something. All this wouldn't have been possible, if it hadn't been for Jasiri. Alice felt that she needed to thank her in some way. She then thought of something, and perked up. "Kion, I'm going to go talk to Jasiri. I'll be back, okay?" She said to him. Kion didn't really want Alice to leave, but he knew that he couldn't keep her here just because he wanted her to stay by him. "Yeah, go ahead. I'll be waiting for you." He answered. Alice gave him one last lick to the cheek. "I'll be right back." She repeated.
She then disappeared in a cloud of red smoke, leaving the Lion by himself.
