The Pride Lands were coming to life as the sun rose, turning night into day once again. And with the sun rising, came time for the Lion Guard to start the day patrolling the Pride Lands. The Lion Guard ran throughout the entire Pride Lands, making sure all was right. There were zebras grouped together with vultures flying in a circle above them. Ono flew just above the zebras heads, just to make sure the vultures didn't try anything. He then led the zebras away and back to their grazing grounds.

A rockslide was happening somewhere else, and was about to land on some elands and antelope. Fuli rushed in using her speed to push the animals away from the rockslide. A dead tree was going to fall on some rabbits, but Beshte ran and stopped the tree from falling on them. Janja was cornering a couple of small animals, but then a cloud of red smoke appeared in front of him, revealing Alice growling at him with glowing red eyes.

The Lion Guard couldn't be stopped. They were a team whose duty was to protect the Circle of Life. And that's what they were going to do. Another hippo was stuck in the mud and couldn't get out. Beshte jumped in and pushed him out without much effort. Two little animals were stuck behind some rocks. Using his new enhanced strength, Kion moved the rock with ease, freeing the animals. He stopped a herd of antelope from running over Makuu's float, while the rest of the Lion Guard guided the float.

All the while, they were all becoming closer as a team. And Alice and Kion were getting closer as mates. As the days went by, Kion and Alice's love for each other never faded, it only grew. While Kion was getting better at being a vampire, Alice was getting better at being a witch. She no longer needed incantations to cast spells, and Kion had gotten better at controlling his enhanced instincts. And through it all, they both were at each other's side, caring for and protecting the other.

The Lion Guard were over looking the Pride Lands, the dry season had finally arrived. Kion looked to the Lion Guard before speaking to them. "Lion Guard! Let's go!" He commanded. They all followed their leader to where Twiga had got her neck stuck in the branches of a tree. She struggled for a little bit, but then the branches moved themselves from around her neck, setting her free. Alice's tail had started wagging as she saw her spell had worked. "Thank you, Lion Guard." She thanked them, and left them to go home.

Ono then flew down towards everyone, frantic. "Everyone! Everyone! Ma Tembo and the elephants! They're under attack!" He shouted. "Another emergency?!" Kion exclaimed. Alice groaned at that. "Ooooh, bloody hell." She said. Bunga groaned after her. "This is un-Bunga-lievable." He said with not much energy. "That's the fifth one today. And it's still morning." Beshte added. "And this is just the start of the dry season." Kion said, his blood red eyes showing slight annoyance. "Guess it's gonna be one of those days." Fuli said shaking her head. Alice then nuzzled her head to Kion's chest. "As long as we can get free time in between emergencies, I'm not going to complain as much." She said with a smile. Kion looked down at her and chuckled. "Yeah. Me neither, Ally." He said, shrugging.

"C'mon everybody! Let's go! Till the Pride Lands end!" Kion shouted, as he ran to the Elephant's home.

"Lion Guard defend!" The Lion Guard shouted back, following after their leader.

The Lion Guard were almost to their destination, and already they could hear Janja's familiar cackling. 'Guess it really is going to be one of those days.' Alice thought to herself. They all stopped on a ledge that over looked the elephants. "What is Janja even thinking taking on the elephants?" Fuli asked. "Odds are, he's probably not thinking at all." Alice gave her input. "Like my Dad always says: Live long enough, and you'll see everything." Beshte told them, earning a giggle from the Wolf.
