Before I start this chapter, I want to give another shout out to outlander234 for helping me write this chapter. I want you guys to go to their profile right now, and follow them. Show them the amount of love that I have for them. Thank you so much for helping me, dude. You are my angel. And if y'all don't do this, y'all are SUS, and I'm voting y'all out. Anyway, on with the chapter.

The barren wastelands of the Outlands were as dry and dead as can be. Janja led his clan back to their den as they once again failed to get food in the Pride Lands. "Janja, I'm hungry again." Chungu complained. "Yeah, I'd eat just about anything." Nne added. Cheezi was about to say something, but spotted Ushari slithering in the distance. "Ooooh, Janja look! Over there! A snake!" He pointed the Cobra out. "Oh oh, can we eat it?!" Chungu asked. "Eh, better than nothing I guess. C'mon, boys!" Janja shrugged and led his hyenas to the Cobra.

Ushari was slithering around the Outlands, reveling in the knowledge he overheard. "Now that I know Kion's been getting advice from Mufasa, I'll finally have some leverage with the Lion Guard. Then everyone in the Pride Lands will respect me. Yesssssssssss." He hissed to himself. Just then, Chungu pinned Ushari down with his paws. "Janja! What do you want with me?" Ushari asked. Chungu answered for Janja. "We wanna eat ya!" He exclaimed. "But I'm just a snake. Wouldn't you want something more meatier?" Ushari asked with a smirk.

"Oh we would. If it weren't for Kion. Forcing us to stay in the Outlands, instead of just letting us eat whatever we wanted in the Pride Lands!" Janja seethed. "Well if Kion's your problem, I might have a ssssssolution." Ushari told the hyena leader. "What?" Janja said. "Yess. The reason Kion is so successful in leading the Lion Guard, is because he's getting advice from the greatest King that ever ruled the Pride Lands. Mufasa!" Ushari told them.

Janja scoffed at the snake. "Hah, Mufasa! I think you've been pounced on one too many times, snake." He insulted. "The name's Ushari. And if you want to outsmart the Lion Guard, Janja, then you need to start thinking like lions. Great lions." The snake told Janja.  "I don't know if you've noticed, but we ain't lions." Janja told the snake. "And there's no lion that's going to help us, let alone a great one." Janja and his hyenas started laughing at Ushari. Not noticing that they were being watched by a certain black lioness.

"But there was one great lion that helped hyenas." Ushari argued. "Oh you mean Scar? Hate to break it to ya, Ushari, but Scar died in the fire at Pride Rock a long time ago." Janja reminded the snake. "Yessssss. But if Kion can talk to Mufasa, there must be a way for us to talk to Scar." Ushari thought aloud. "You think?" Janja asked, a bit skeptical. "I'm certain. It's just a question of how." The snake inquired. Janja looked at him for a second, and then asked his question. "How can we talk to Scar?" He asked. "I need to gather some more information first. If you'll let me go." Ushari said, narrowing his eyes at the hyena.

"Yeah, alright. But we're gonna follow you the whole time. Incase you're making all this up." Janja said with a smirk. "Fair enough." Ushari said, and waited to be let go. Janja nodded his head to Chungu to let him go. "I believe I know someone who'll give us all the information we need. Without even realizing she's helping usssssss." Ushari hissed. Just as the snake led the hyenas into the Pride Lands, that same black lioness that was watching them from before, smirked and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.

Makini was looking around the Pride Lands for her Bakura staff. She was picking up sticks and trying to listen if any of them were her staff. Ushari found her, and decided to put his plan into motion. "Well, if it isn't Makini." He said. She looked around for a minute, then looked at the stick in excitement, but then saw it was only Ushari. "Oh, you're a snake, not a stick." She said, a little disappointed. "True, but I've heard that you are Rafiki's new apprentice." He said to her.
