When someone shows you how little you mean to them
Believe them.
Don't stick around and try to convince them of your worth.
They're too blind thinking about themselves,
not about you,
not about your feelings,
not about your future together.
You can waste all your breath,
begging them to see the good things about you,
the things you try to do,
the things they make you feel,
the things you want to do in the future with them,
the type of love you want.
But the bottom line is that it is a huge waste of time.
They'll laugh cruelly,
smirk in your face,
and list all the things they hate about you.
Now you get to stand there and watch as the person you love,
takes your heart in the palm of their hand,
grab a knife and do slice by slice
until your heart is nothing but red strands in their hand and there's no where left to cut.
Don't waste your time.
