As I stare at the bracelet you got me while getting ready.
I cannot bring myself to wear it due to its meaning,
Or to throw it away to be forgotten.
The memory attached to it,
Makes a smile go across my face and my heart lift.
It was the very first time I felt such undeniable happiness.
The moment I knew I could actually live my life,
That someone like you was out there for me.
It's a gift I treasure,
Still to this day.
Just like how,
You will always be a treasure to me.
