The pleading as you back us up to the edge of the pool below,
Knowing I'm going to pull you with me as I am unable to let you go.
The triumph as I get you to make me waffles again at the hotel,
The sadness of knowing soon it will be a temporary farewell.
The giggles as I hang from the front of the cart as you push me around,
Attracting the attention of every other Costco shopper within our surround.
The constant big smiles and little giggles as we catch each other looking,
Knowing that the memories we're making right now are assuring.
The admiring as you question your outfits to wear out,
Absolutely captivated by your entire appearance without any doubt.
The non-stop snorts as you continue to be your hilarious self,
Bringing out the hidden goofy version within myself.
The learning of each other as we show our hometown places,
Loving that we are skipping all the awkward stages.
The meeting of each others families creating a sense of solidarity,
Creating so much happiness to have such clarity.
The reassuring love as we spent every single night doing our routine,
Nose to nose, chest to chest, heart to heart, no space between.
