Reading quote after quote
relating to so many
from heartbreak to healing
to falling down and finding the
beauty in it all.
I sat there patiently,
not searching,
not wanting,
and there you were.
Smiling and ever so inviting.
You caught my eye and
suddenly I wanted so badly to be
healed.
Straining,
Fighting,
Trying,
so hard
to be better,
not the same toxic self,
because you..
You were a light that
probed through
the walls around
myself.
Healing isn't fast
nor
is it pretty.
I so badly wanted to show you
that I could be it.
Sure,
I was broken,
but that didn't mean
I didn't have all the love
in the world
to give.
I was trying
and
trying.
