I know that, even with this feeling of urgency, I enjoyed this day. I do not remember exactly what we did, maybe we went to an exhibition. Is it the day when Ethan gave this picture to Aidan? I could not say. It is strange. I remember expressions. I remember Aidan's hand in mine. I remember this feeling of happiness that I felt. But the actual schedule of this day drowned in a blur.
Maybe it is because of what happened next. Maybe it is because it does not seem that it could be the same day. In an instant, this joy disappeared in the lightning of a firearm.
I was walking alone in a small street after sunset when a car suddenly closed the path in front of me. The window opened, and a man with a mask pointed a gun at me. I did not have time to react. He was too close. He pulled the trigger, and everything went black.
