CHAPTER 1.
Klaus had packed everything he needed, what he did not have, he would purchase when they arrived, He and Elijah had decided it was best if the Family didn't know the location of where he, Hayley and Hope planned to go, Klaus hated running, especially now that his Father was dead, but without the protection of the sire bond link, he would have many enemies coming after him, and Hope was in danger, for his enemies would use their Daughter against him, so here he was packing and leaving his beloved City behind, Klaus grabbing his suitcase and bags went to Hayley's room to check to see if her and Hope were ready,
"All done, little wolf?" Klaus asked as he watched her from the doorway, her suitcases packed and Hayley was just putting some of Hope's favourite toys and blankets in a bag, turned to him and smiled, the smile not reaching her worried eyes,
"Yes, can you help me with the bags while I get Hope," Hayley asked, just as Elijah appeared and grabbed Hayley and Hope's Luggage,
"Allow me," Elijah said as he gathered the suitcases and he and Niklaus turned and walked downstairs, walking out to the car and loading the boot.
"Keep yourself, Hayley and Hope safe, the Family will deal with our enemies here, no contact Niklaus, if it becomes necessary, Freya will send magic notes, but the Three of you need to disappear," Elijah said sadly but firmly.
"I know Elijah, I have very precious cargo to protect," Klaus said mournfully, his Child needing to be without his Family because of the enemies he had made through the Centuries, as he watched Hope in the carseat and glanced at Hayley in the passenger seat of the car.
Elijah pulled Niklaus into a hug,
"Safe journey Niklaus."
Klaus nodded his head in Elijah's embrace then pulled back and swiftly got in the car, checking a sleeping Hope once more he started the car and drove away, He and Hayley remained silent, caught up in their own thoughts.
Hayley had been sleeping, she woke to the weak light of the dawn, and she sat up straighter running her fingers through her hair, turning around and checking on Hope who was still asleep, She looked back to Klaus who was concentrating on the quiet road ahead,
"How long have we been driving?" Hayley asked her voice husky and low, from sleep.
"Nine hours, when I see the next roadhouse we will stop, tend to Hope, stretch our legs, and then you drive little wolf, I'll sleep." Klaus said calmly.
"Where are we going?" Hayley asked curious.
"Astoria, Oregon, I built a House there 150 Years ago, it is a Port City the House is well out of the City, in the wilderness, you will enjoy it, love." Klaus said with a smirk, knowing Hayley's love of the bayou.
