THE INTERVIEW. II.

Hayley flopped down on the sofa next to Klaus who was reading when she got in from work,

"Did you see the Brownstone next door? It's been completely renovated, I wonder if it's Apartments or owner occupancy, they did an incredible job, it looks amazing." 

Mmm," Klaus replied remaining noncommittal, "How are you feeling?" He asked instead, she had thrown up this morning before leaving.

"I'm fine by 10, I was feeling normal, The tea your Sister sent worked wonders, I'll start having that as soon as I wake up, makes the nausea disappear, Do you still want to come with me to the Ultrasound?"

"Yes, I course, I will ask Freya to sent more of those herbs so you don't run out, and who is the Doctor your seeing?"

"Dr Keelin, she is a Wolf she has her own practice, deals with alot of Supernaturals and Humans, She has patients that are Wolves and Witches, she is the best," She looked at him as his body relaxed.

"What do you think we are having, your Mother was a Witch will the Witch gene pass to our child? do you carry the gene?"

"I do, and our child will, Freya said he or she will be the First born Mikaelson Witch of this generation and our Child will be Wolf, He or She will be a Hybrid, Witchcraft never came to me, Finn and in particular Kol were gifted in Witchcraft, Kol was heartbroken and angry when Mother made us Vampires his magic disappeared, he has always had a strong attraction to Witches and ended up a Marrying a powerful New Orleans Witch, Davina Claire."

"That's sad for him, you with your binding, Kol's magic gone."

"It was, it made him as ruthless as I and as bloodthirsty." Hayley murmmed at his response as she thought about it.

Dr Keelin shook hands with the both of them and asked them to sit, as she opened a file,

"So is it baby Marshall, or Mikaelson?"

"Mikaelson." Hayley answered, As Keelin wrote that in bold letters on top of the file.

"So you are both Wolves, Klaus is a Vampire, and carries the Witch Gene, Correct?" As Klaus and Hayley nodded.

"Have you cut yourself or injured yourself lately Hayley."

"I cut myself on the palm at work the other day, opening up boxes, with a stanley knife and it sliced deeply, but it healed within seconds," She replied looking at her smooth palm.

"Quicker than when you hurt yourself before the pregnancy."

"Yes much quicker."

Keelin looked at Klaus, then back at Hayley, "Your baby is healing you it has the Vampire gene I will pull some blood from you and Test for all three genes, we will have the results back within 24 hours, it looks like your child maybe all three, a Tribrid, how fascinating." She said smiling as she wrote notes.

"Klaus is worried about drinking my blood, taking to much, while I am pregnant."

"Do you ever feel light headed after?"

Hayley smirked,"Not from blood loss."

"Blood volume increases in Women in the first few weeks of pregnancy from 20% to 100% generally in a Human Women it is 45% in the case of a Witch 60% in a Werewolf  70% as you are carrying all three genes your blood increase may well be at 100% your body is holding 3 to 4 pounds of extra blood the body filled with 10 pints or 4.7 litres of blood, we bring those numbers up by 2 for the Supernatural so you have 14 pints or 6.6 litres of blood flowing  through you, as long as he doesn't take more than a pint or 2, from you, there is no harm to you or the baby and someone as old and practiced at taking blood from another is well aware of the signals within the body," Klaus nodded in understanding, relief relaxing his facial features at the Dr's words.
