CHAPTER ONE.

Klaus looked around shaking his head. He was in some town and he couldn't remember where he had been before that, he walked along the pavement there was something familiar about the place but he couldn't recall it though and as he reached the town centre he went into the place called the Mystic Grill. Could this be his birth place Mystic Falls? He was also shocked to recognise that he was a full hybrid, when had he broken the curse? He went in and sat at the furthest end of the bar and glanced at a phone on the bar seeing the date as 2010, not that the date meant anything to him but he liked to know what century he was in and discreetly compelled the barman for a bottle of bourbon and looked around. Not a familiar face among the people in the bar and restaurant.

Hayley stopped at the store and compelled herself a large notebook and pens, grabbed a mobile phone as well and a bag to put it all in, she looked around as the compelled cashier opened the money drawer of the till and seeing no one else in the store grabbed four 50 dollar bills stuffing them in her jeans pocket. She went and sat on the park bench and activated the phone. She called Hope's number and the robotic voice intoned she had rung the wrong number, what had happened to her baby girl? So she had been bought back from the afterlife with all her previous life memories, was this another timeline or was this a restart? If it was another timeline there would be two Hayley's. Hayley tapped in her old phone number and she once again heard the robotic voice tell her this was a wrong number. Did that mean this was a restart? Hope had died and Hayley was in a restart.

A piece of paper floated from the sky and landed at Hayley's feet she bent down and picked it up.

Hi Mom,

I went to another timeline to be with you and Dad. There are two Hope's here now and I have two brother's and another sister and brother on the way. Mom, I am really happy here and I love you. So I created a reset spell on my old timeline, you are there in 2010, as it is a reset spell everything is as it was before you had me and because it is a reset spell I can't go back. This was easier than a full resurrection spell and I wanted you and Dad to have another chance at living, selfish I know, but I like knowing that you are both alive, live Mom be happy and tell Dad I love him.

With all my love,

Hope Andrea Mikaelson.

Hayley wiped the tears from her eyes and folded the letter and put it in her bra. She stood, grabbed her bag and crossed the road, pushing the door to the grill. She walked to the bar and ordered a bottle of bourbon paid and walked to the back table of the Grill. She set her bag on the chair took out the blank notebook and pens sat down poured herself a bourbon opened the notebook cracked the seal on the blue pens and held the shot of bourbon, "To you baby girl," And she threw it back then put her head down picked up the pen and started to write.

Klaus had watched the slim brunette from the moment she had walked in. She was striking unlike any other person in the bar, he watched her order her voice low and husky, her fingers slim and fine as she put them around the bottle of liquor and he watched her graceful feline stride to a table at the back of the restaurant, her movements precise and sure. He was entranced mesmerised by her, she was supernatural he could scent her wolf but she was something more which confused him he was a hybrid, he didn't remember breaking his curse, apart from his family and the past thousand years he couldn't recall another detail than his last location in 2009, which was Oregon when he had seen a witch about breaking his curse which was almost 12 months ago from today. Did he break the curse and sire her? Klaus vigilantly watched her, saw her lips move but could not pick up her words, saw her drink then put her head down and start writing.
